Not that we want to focus on the bad moments in Packers draft history, but the Ray Lewis miss I had never heard or remember happening.. hence really why I posted it. It would help explain the over draft of Michels at that spot..

Any missing moments than need to over take maybe Buckley or Brohm? Ahmad Carroll maybe.

Source...

1. Drafting Tony Mandarich No. 2 overall in 1989

2. Packers general manager Ron Wolf was ready to draft linebacker Ray Lewis with the 27th overall pick in 1996. It was highly likely that Lewis was going to be available, too, to the point Green Bay already had Lewis' name written on its draft card.

This one I have never heard prior nor do I remember that being reported at the time..

3. Taking Justin Harrell at No. 16 in 2007

4. Brian Brohm a second-round pick?

5. Terrell Buckley over Troy Vincent in 1992

I will argue Terrell Buckley shouldn't be on the list. If he hadn't run his mouth so much, (e.g. saying he'd break the INT record before suiting up) and brought so much attention to himself, he would have been pretty good for the Packers. Instead he went on to have a solid career with the Dolphins and Patriots specifically. He also had an interception every season too.

I assume the John Hadl trade was more than 25 years ago? That messed up a few drafts lol Holy crap ... I was ... holy crap. I miss the 90's ...

Regarding Justin Harrell and the Packers could have traded back 20 places and still got him ...

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said that he had three players targeted for his spot in the first round, and most people figure it was Arkansas defensive end Jamaal Anderson, Florida end Jarvis Moss and Harrell. Anderson went eighth to the Atlanta Falcons, leaving Harrell and Moss.

As soon as the Packers took Harrell with the 16th, Shanahan traded up to the 17th position and took Moss.

“We had three guys that we felt very comfortable taking with the 21st pick, and two of those guys were gone when we decided to trade up," Shanahan said Saturday.

The Denver coach's statement lends credence to GM Ted Thompson's claim that he couldn't drop back too far without the risk of losing out on Harrell. It's unclear whether Shanahan liked Harrell or Moss better.

"We had a game plan that included three guys and we were hoping that two of those guys were going to be there and we would be able to get both of them," Shanahan said. "You never know what is going to happen on draft day. When Justin Harrell went to Green Bay, that is when we stepped up and decided to make a move to get the guy that we wanted and the guy that was worthy of our first pick."

93's top 5 seems OK, the only thing I would change is getting Brent Fullwood in there, probably to Harrell. This is on a basis of hindsight, which is usually 20/20. As far as when the pick was made I always thought Buckley instead of Vicent was a bad pick. Vincent was just as good an athlete, bigger, smarter and a better person.

And I might not put The incredible bust on as our all time worst draft pick.. Bruce Clark or Rich Campbell were probably worse picks than steroid boy... just both happened past the 25 year deadline.

Brent Fullwood was a good player, he was just lazy. First time he ever touched the ball, iirc, he ran a KO back for a TD but fumbled right before the goal line. LOL. He would say he was too sick to play, but then be seen out dancing that night. Forrest Gregg drafted him to beat the Bears, who were in their SuperBowl era at the time.

And I agree on Buckley, he was actually pretty decent, if undersized. Didn't really get his shit together until after he left Green Bay.

My vote is for Jamal "too small" Reynolds. Robert Ferguson was another one. Sherman told Wolf he wanted Ferguson over, whats his name. First of many mistakes for Sherman.

We drafted Ahmad Carroll, because Randy Moss had lit us up the year before. We drafted three DBs that year high, Fred Vinson was traded to Seattle for Ahman Green. Holmgren ditched Green, because of the fumbling.

Sherman used to make Carroll wear boxing gloves in practice, so he wouldn't be grabbing the WRs he was covering. LOL

John Micheals was another guy. "The thinking man's LT." LOL. I think he only played one year on offense in college, converted from the DL. Then there's BJ Sanders who was quoted in the press as saying he aspired someday to be the Packers "starting" punter.

Thing about Sherman was that he was the type of dude who would put his connections and his friends over the well being of the team. That's why he kept Mike Stock on even after he "retired" as ST coach. Dude was Sherman's spy and informer. This is also why he kept Rosseley around. AND why they scapegoated Ed Donnattell.

Anyway, Robert Ferguson was connected with Sherman. I forget how. Might have coached him in college or something. So yeah, take him over Chris Chambers. Idiot.

It really didn't help for Carroll and Thomas that the NFL REALLY ratcheted up on calling pass interference, holding and illegal contacts after that Patriots-Colts game in the playoffs and the Colts complaining about it in the offseason. In retrospect, that was the beginning of the Pass Happy Rules era for the NFL.

Mucky Tundra (3h) : The Seattle Seahawks defeat the Chicago Bears 6-3. Jason Myers had 6 RBIs for Seattle while Cairo Santos had 3 RBI for Chicago
beast (4h) : Not nessarily, he might of been injured either way. He's playing about 50% of the games the last 4 years
Zero2Cool (10h) : If they'd been more patient with him, he'd be back already. Putting him out there vs Bears caused him to tweak it and here we are.
packerfanoutwest (11h) : well this is his last season with the PAck, book it
beast (12h) : Sounds like no Alexander (again), I'm wondering if his time with the Packers is done
Zero2Cool (18h) : Could ban beast and I still don't think anyone catches him.
Mucky Tundra (26-Dec) : Houston getting dog walked by Baltimore
packerfanoutwest (25-Dec) : Feliz Navidad!
Zero2Cool (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas!
beast (25-Dec) : Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
beast (24-Dec) : Sounds like no serious injuries from the Saints game and Jacobs and Watson should play in the Vikings game
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : both games Watson missed, Packers won
Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
