I want a dominating D Line. Another DE that can rush the qb. Kampman needs help!

Nnamdi Asomugha will most definitely be resigned by the Raiders, but they will have to let the best punter in the league go in Shane Lechler.

what would be really sweet is if Haynesworth chose to test the market instead of re-signing with Tennessee.

Ready for this i read somewhere that the Raiders were going to Franchise Lechler. I'll see if i can find that report again.

I'm not really sold on Haynesworth he is actually injury prone i think NON showed me where he only played one full season and that was his rookie year. I say we need Peppers over haynesworth and we switch to a 3-4 defense. I know for sure the top 2 defenses are 3-4 maybe ill do some more research and see how 3-4 teams rank.

To do a 3-4 we need a DOMINANT nose tackle and we don't have that. Some could make a case for Ryan Pickett but Im not sure we would be that dominant.

List of good 3-4 defenses and their NT

Pitt - Casey Hampton
Baltimore - Haloti Ngata
New England - Wilfork
San Deigo - Jamal Williams
New York Jets - Kris Jenkins

Sounds like a plan to me, he could have the same impact Ngata had as a rookie.

But to do that, we would need a half decent Defensive Coordinator that would know how to use him correctly.

Did I hear somewhere that Dick LeBeau was leaving Pitt.? I know it was one of the big name D-Coordinators that was leaving their team after this year.

Not LeBeau, but Wade Phillips will most likely be availible. We has done a good job a good job as a defensive coordinator.

Edit: Another guy to look at in the draft if we decide to go to a 3-4 defense is the DE out of Southern Florida (I think thats were he is from, may be Central Florida) He would be an excellent outside linebacker in the 3-4. Possibily a DeMarcus Ware/Lamar Woodley type of player.

When I hit quote, I first thought that you said South Florida. If you're talking about USF, then you're probably thinking about the DE Selvie. I'm not sure about the one from Central Florida, though.

What I want:

1) Haynesworth.

2) Draft a couple of o-line or d-linemen in the first 3-4 rounds.

3) A change from the ZBS mentality OR a new O-line coach to teach o-linemen better execution.

4) Addition of a SS (preferably a veteran) that can challenge Bigby / fill the void if Bigby goes down.

5) A new DC. In all honestly, I think it's a lock that Winston Moss will be promoted to DC.

6) Cutting of Jared Bush and Charlie Peprah. Replace them with Pat Lee and a S capable of more than just ST play (ties into point #3).
