Bradshaw averaged 4.6 yards per carry last season and he can pass protect very well. He'd definitely be an upgrade and he's probably only going to get a one-year offer, so there are no long-term cap implications. Granted, there are concerns with whether his style fit’s the offense, but I’d much rather see him in green and gold than Cedric Benson (3.5 yards per carry), James Starks (26 career missed games), and Alex Green.

When you see him play, he's a much better runner than anyone we have on the roster right now. He has better vision than any of them to start with, combined with a little wiggle, a second gear and he's not afraid to lower his shoulder, either.
Yes, he's injury prone, but on a one year prove it contract, he'd be a great addition.
I'd go as far as saying that we'd go and sign him, draft another back like Ball and cut ties with Benson, Green and Starks, leaving Harris on the roster.
A bit of a major overhaul, but Benson should be gone regardless, we get a better injury prone, high potential/production guy in Bradshaw and we'd still have Harris on the roster to change it up even more.
Not going to happen, obviously, but I wouldn't mind just that.
Anyway, I saw a tweet that McCarthy was genuinely surprised when asked about Bradshaw, so either he's a good actor, doesn't know what's going on or we'll stick to the whole not signing anyone thing.
