All's been quiet on the Ahmad Bradshaw front since the Giants released the six-year veteran last month. But Bradshaw is starting to draw interest. Both the Packers and the Steelers are interested in Bradshaw's services, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It would be unlike the Packers to spend a lot on a free agent running back

He's better than Jackson atm. I'd take a look at him in a physical and based on that would determine the contract I offer.

Packers and Steelers are interested in all the RB that have any potential left on the FA market.

They'll probably both sign one... but at their price.

Ahmad Bradshaw
Michael Turner
Cedric Benson
Felix Jones
Bernard Scott
Peyton Hillis
La'Rod Stephens-Howling
Javon Ringer
Tim Hightower
Chris Rainey
Kevin Smith
Rashad Jennings

I think Bradshaw at 27 offers the best out of all the RB's including Jackson I would love to see him in green and gold and it would save us a draft pick

IMO, nobody on that list would be an upgrade from what we have now, not even Bradshaw. Ivory would be, but not at the cost of a second round pick. I'd like to see the Packers get Montee Ball in the 4th round. Yeah, I suppose he would be gone by then, but maybe in the 3rd.

Even at a bargain, this isn't an upgrade. Bradshaw is extremely injury prone and is just getting off foot surgery.

Draft or bust with the runningback position.

It seems pretty clear that they are unhappy with the guys they have at the position.

As far as the foot goes, it's seemingly always injured but he still manages to play 14-15 games a year. At age 26 I wouldn't be too worried.

Bradshaw averaged 4.6 yards per carry last season and he can pass protect very well. He'd definitely be an upgrade and he's probably only going to get a one-year offer, so there are no long-term cap implications. Granted, there are concerns with whether his style fit’s the offense, but I’d much rather see him in green and gold than Cedric Benson (3.5 yards per carry), James Starks (26 career missed games), and Alex Green.

I don't know how everyone thinks that he wouldn't be an upgrade.

When you see him play, he's a much better runner than anyone we have on the roster right now. He has better vision than any of them to start with, combined with a little wiggle, a second gear and he's not afraid to lower his shoulder, either.

Yes, he's injury prone, but on a one year prove it contract, he'd be a great addition.

I'd go as far as saying that we'd go and sign him, draft another back like Ball and cut ties with Benson, Green and Starks, leaving Harris on the roster.

A bit of a major overhaul, but Benson should be gone regardless, we get a better injury prone, high potential/production guy in Bradshaw and we'd still have Harris on the roster to change it up even more.

Not going to happen, obviously, but I wouldn't mind just that.

Anyway, I saw a tweet that McCarthy was genuinely surprised when asked about Bradshaw, so either he's a good actor, doesn't know what's going on or we'll stick to the whole not signing anyone thing.
