Do stats really determine the true value of a person to a team?

To some degree. I don't think it should be all about the stats but definitely count for something.

Harrison has been great. I wasn't saying he was MY pick, it was Tony Dungy's.

Payton Manning has proved himself this year to be THE QB. What he has done with an injured Colts team is just mind-blowing.

Peyton hasn't been as good as other players. He is NOT MVP material this season. There are players who have done more for their team. Especially considering the Colts haven't been as good as they have been in the past few years.

As much as I love Brett Favre, I'd give my vote to AP or a Defensive Player right now. And possibly Kurt Warner. But right now it's AP. Da Bears would walk away with the NFC North without AP.

Harrison.

Here is the thing about the Harrison nod.. is it Harrison?

Or is it coupled with Woodley and Taz on the field and anchoring the action backer in Lebeau's system?

It opens some questions upon it.. what a great year though that cat has had.

I have been leaning strongly towards AD or AP or Adrian Peterson, whatever they call him these days, but in a bit of ironic twist, the Purple folk here on this board have reminded me via a pi$$ing contest between them and the Grizz that the Vikes do not really skip that big of a beat without him. Down in the back alley, the Grizz pointed out that AD has been missing some practice. The purple folk point to Chester Taylor, and further point out that he brings some things to the table that AP/AD/pain in my a$$ does not. I think they have a very valid argument, but now my question to myself is this... As much as I have been leaning towards PIMA being the MVP, should I devalue that opinion if he is virtually interchangeable with Chester Taylor, or further, if Chester can bring more to the table than PIMA?

(PIMA=pain in my ass, for those that didn't quite catch the transition  )

I know I said Adrian earlier, but why not Troy Polomalu? Look at the season he's having.

Best safety in the league, hands down. He also leads the league with 7 INT's.
