Tony Dungy has said that even his QB is not deserving. That James Harrison(LB for Pittsburgh) is more deserving than he.

James Harrison's stats: 15 Sacks, 1 int, 7 forced fumbles, 1 safety, and 94 total tackles(63 Solo, 31 Assisted).

I think thats a great resume for MVP. And there haven't been too many MVP type offensive players this season.

The others I like right now are

Drew Brees
Kurt Warner
Adrian Peterson

Do stats really determine the true value of a person to a team?

Not in my opinion.. as much as I question his motivation and character.. Albert Haynesworth gets my vote.. dude has set the tone for that defense.. which has propelled them to great heights this season to date.. it will be tested with him sidelined..

Bullock is a monster though on that defense as well.

Another guy that has to be mentioned but doesn't deserve to win it.. the lost man in this summers drama.. Chad Pennington.. has managed that offense well.. and never complained an ounce when the Wild Cat sensation was hitting the NFL. True leader.

I am on the fence with either Turner for the Falcons or Haynesworth for the Titans. I think running backs and defensive players truly shined this season.
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

If Haynesworth stayed healthy, he should/would have gotten it. But, in my eyes, along with the MVP voters, you gotta play all year to earn that title.

Warner did fantastic. Definitely top 3.

Brees is still awesome. Would be in my top 3 if the Saints record was better. The stat that REALLY matters is 'W's.

Turner is top 3. Think San Diego misses him now? lol

Adrian Peterson is my vote. Seriously.. Take him away from the Vikings.. and Chi-Town has the NFC North division wrapped up 3 weeks ago. I honestly believe that no player is more valued by their respective team than AP is by the Vikings.

I think it is unfair that so little Def players win MVP My pick Would be DeMarcus Ware who is on form to break the single season record for sacks (22.5)
