Don't get me wrong, I understand. It's just that comparing McCarthy and/or Rodgers to Belichick and/or Brady is a bit unfair, at least at this point. What they continue to do as a team and organization is amazing, especially if they make it to yet another Super Bowl, and even more so if they win it this season. They are constantly able to evolve and adapt, despite the fact that Brady isn't half the athlete that Rodgers is. Comparing any team to the Patriots over the last decade or so is likely to make the comparing team look bad, as the Patriots are truly in a class of their own, imo. I know a lot of people hate the Patriots (me included, really), but the simple fact is their consistent production and evolution cannot be ignored. Not to mention they are consistently bringing in big time rookies with enormous potential, such as Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower this past season that should keep them competitive in the foreseeable future. They make their fair share of mistakes as well, but their consistently is very impressive.

yesterday is the first chance I was able to watch the game (living in the uk and all) ...

I blame the vikings game (week 17)

- if we would of won that then we would of played that game (niners vs pack) at home
- the vikings game showed we wernt prepared for the run let alone the qb option run
- we lost on all accounts; on offense, ST and defense especially
- seems like our guys were not prepared for that type of hostile crowd and noise. Seems like our guys lost our cool compared to the niners.

personal opinion:
- I dont like brad jones at all ... havnt liked him since we drafted him. 56 yard QB run and it was BJ's job to secure the middle linebacker position.

... I hope SF loses and wipes that grin off kaprinicks faceoff. Sad he's from milwaukee and beat the pack; he should of just let us win 😉

The Packers have no excuse for not being prepared for a mobile quarterback. They have Randall Cobb who has played QB in his days and he could have easily ran the scout team offense. Considering how little he was used on offense, I doubt it would have had any adverse effect on his offensive play.

Even if they don't win another, my point would still stand. They are right there every year and even the game last year came down to the wire. That's impressive, and is certainly better than it appears Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy are going to accomplish, although who knows. I hope I'm wrong. I just don't see them winning three Super Bowls and winning over 16 playoff games, though. I could see Aaron Rodgers doing so, but he would need a much better offensive line and defense to have a chance, and year after year, that doesn't seem to happen.

The other and IMO more troubling thing is that our offense seems to be stuck in one place and is not evolving at all. Look at the Patriots for example, Tom Brady is amazing and he has that team consistently playing great football but they have changed and evolved through the past seasons. Where is this at in Green Bay?!

Once we realized what DeJuan Harris could do, we started riding him to a lesser extent.

Really, we only became one-dimensional and boring offensively in a couple games this year. Both of which we lost. Beyond what we did, I'm not sure what else we can do to "evolve" besides trading Rodgers away for a QB that can run the option naturally. And not every evolution is a good thing.

I'm not gonna blame Mike for the Ross thing. Hell the guy played great the past few weeks with Cobb struggling with injures and stuff. Who wouldn't be a little confident to put him in? Plus he actually adjusted and put Cobb back in. And he even bobbled a kickoff..

Yeah, he muffed a ball. Yeah it was at the worst possible position on the field. But I've never been a fan of benching a player because of one play, no matter how boneheaded it is. (I'm probably the only person in the world who thinks Mike Holmgren did bad by T.J. Rubley.)

I'm a big fan of consistency in coaching. If you are going to take the "screw up once and you're benched" approach that Mike McCarthy appears to have taken with Ross, then he ought to have taken it with others as well. Did he bench Cobb when he bobbled a kickoff? Or earlier in his career when he muffed a kick or punt (I can't remember which), or when he took a kick out of the end zone and left the Packers with bad field position?

This wasn't even a case of a rookie screwing up his first chance to contribute. Ross *has* demonstrated he has something to offer on returns.

Yeah, he made a bad mistake. One.

Lots of Packers made a bad mistake against SF. Did any of them get benched? Many of them -- e.g. most of the defensive team -- made multiple bad mistakes.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
