Some seem to want to put it all on Rodgers, like he totally stinks, and thats not true. Yes, he has not been perfect, but for a first year guy he's done well in my view.
Favre didn't always "save the day" when he was here. He made more then his share of bonehead plays.
Remember......he not only leads the NFL all time in TD passes, but in INT's too.

Believe it or not, I actually agree with dhazer on this point. The comparison is fair because Rodgers is the quarterback management decided to put on the field this year. Therefore, it makes sense to compare his output with that of the options that were available to management, regardless of how much experience they may or may not have had.

Well then, if you want to DO that, compare Favre's stats versus Rodger's stats.
All the rest of what happens falls on the rest of the TEAM, doesn't it?

I'm talking about the final 5 minutes of a game and Rodgers hasnt done much to prove he has the it factor, I was going to do Favre from last year because they have the same wrs and rbs and pretty much same o-line. But you complained about the experience Brett has so i would do Cassell because both him and Rodgers have been in there system for a few years to learn it. I guess no matter what you won't admit Rodgers doesn't have it in the final 5 minutes of a game. But i'll do them stats this week just out of curiosity for others. Because honestly i have no clue what they will look like. And btw just cuz i'm not sold on Rodgers how does that make me a Favre lover? Hell i would be happy to have Graham Harrell in Green Bay.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Oh, Jesus H. Christ... N You have NO IDEA what a HUGE can of worms you just opened up. D would have been JUST FINE in the ammo department with the article I told him to go get tattooed on his ass.

NOW ... You go and reinforce the young man...Ahhh, fellas, we are all in for another fresh dose of DH doo-doo....

I am TOTALLY kidding here, btw.

:thumbleft:

P.S. Dhaze-- I went to your myspace link and it works perfectly fine, nice flicks. I posted that in live chat, but everyone was so busy whining about one play or the other, I suspect you might have missed it, plus I think you were doing your incognito shit again. And thanks again for all the help,,,both you DH and Nonstop. I actually know wtf I'm doing there now (well, sorta)

+1 this is what I've been trying to say. We may be #1 in the NFL in 4th quater scoring but I'm wonder after the 2min warning. Also does anyone have Rodgers stats during the the last 2mins when we're down and a need a score to win.

I like Rodgers and I think he's gonna be an awesome QB but he's gotta be able to close out a game in the last few mins of a game when we're down. Sure our D put us in that spot and it sucks that it then becomes up to him to save the game but that's part of the job as starting QB.

Our D is simply killing us this season but so many of our loses have been within reach in the last few mins of the 4th we just can't get it done on offense.

We are what we are. Let's pack it in and great ready for next season, because this one is now history. Now we begin to play for draft choices. Ted Thompson w/o doubt is going to have to go out and get himself some defensive players because this is the most pathetic defense I've ever seen. It's putrid. And the problem is, Sanders isn't the guy to make anyone better. It's not even fun to watch this team.

Personally, I've probably had more fun watching this team this season than last. Certainly the outcomes aren't as fun and the following 6 days are crappy when I think about football, but every game is close and suspenseful.

Also, I'm about the last person to call for a scapegoat, but i think Sanders is gone. not as a scapegoat, but because he just can't cut it. period. scheming, gameplanning, and out-thinking the other teams coaches is important. you have to have a great group of players to overcome a coach who can't cut it. i think our players are decent. some are great. many are adequate. but, they can't overcome sanders' inability to outsmart the other teams' coaches. Sanders is done in GB

beast (2h) : What is he supposed to say? He doesn't want players currently on the team?
Martha Careful (6h) : meh
Zero2Cool (10h) : Sounds like Walker and Wyatt will be with Packers for beyond 2026
Zero2Cool (10h) : It's so awesome.
Zero2Cool (10h) : new site fan shout post fast
wpr (14h) : Slow posting in Fan shout.
wpr (14h) : Only 4
wpr (14h) : Only 4
Zero2Cool (16h) : If only we had a topic to read about and discuss it. That's something new website must have!!!
dfosterf (17h) : Justice Musqueda over at Acme Packing put up an excellent synopsis of the Packers 1st round options this am
wpr (19-Apr) : 5 days
beast (18-Apr) : 6 days
wpr (17-Apr) : 7 days
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
