I don't understand why some are saying this game is a must win game...

The Packers have proven they get beat the Giants in the regular season.

What they haven't done is proven they can beat the Giants in the post season...
That would be a double much win game if they do face each other. Needing to win to stay alive but also needing a win to get past the Giants beating them the last two times they met in the playoffs.

Though before the Packers won the Super Bowl, they did end the Giants season (in the regular season, week 16 match-up which was basically a playoff game, as the winner made the playoff, loser would watch the playoffs)

The Packers can't knock the Giants out of the playoffs this time... but IF the Cowboys beat the Redskins, then the Packers can knock the Giants out of the NFC East division lead.

What would really damage our psyche is a blowout loss. The giants are a great team and we shouldn't feel worthless if we lose to them.

Without Clay, this will be like that Jets game, wasn't in in '10, where we went into their house and won in a close hard fought game?

Win or lose, we will play tough. I like our chances.

I don't like being behind the Bares in the division, but I'm not calling this a must win.

To me, they are ALL must wins. Especially after gifting the game to the Colts. CHI is tied for the division lead, even though we own the tie breaker. I would feel better with us owning the division lead outright. Add to that, I would much rather force the Giants to have to come back to GB in the playoffs, rather than have us go there. The Packers need to right that NFC Divisional loss last year, and what better place to do that than at home.

Win Packers.

That being said, it will be a battle all the way, especially with NYG coming off their bye. Our OL and DL will have to win the day. Trenches. If we can win those battles, we can come out with the W.

I would add, how many here would rather we play SF here in GB or there in San Francisco during the playoffs? Man, I would so much rather we play that game in GB. SF has 4 away games left, @NO, @STL, @NE, @SEA. They also play MIA and AZ @ home.

Winning Sunday @NYG will help us pass them in the standings, which we really ought to be trying to do through the rest of the regular season, forcing any playoff game between us to Green Bay and Lambeau.

I think it is more of a must win for the giants than the packers. The giants are just barely holding off the cowboys and the saints. saints are playing well but have a tough schedule ahead (but so do the giants). Cowboys suck but have an easier schedule than both of them.

Also if the Vikings win, and the Packers lose, they'll be tied and the Vikings will have the current tie breaker.

So if they Packers lose, they'll be in 2nd in the NFC North... and Vikings could be first if the Packers lose and Vikings win.

Interesting.

Just a couple of flaws in your aforementioned "stakes"
1. Coming to Harrisburg PA, shithole that it is - no problem.
2. Licking your dogs balls - very difficult to accomplish since I am sure that they are sized like your balls which are microscopic in nature.
3. In front of all your friends - foster you have no friends, so that point is moot.

With that said, since you seem to agree to the 17 point spread.....
You win and I'll send you a bottle of some very good booze of your choice (up to $200)
I win, well I don't drink anymore, so we will have to come with some kind appropriate compensation.

You game bucko?

This is the type of team our offense needs to chew them up in the middle of the field. Cobb and Finley on slants and inside routes. That's how you kill the cover 2 passive shit. We did a poor job of it vs the Lions.

Giants coming off bye week, loser of 2 in a row.
November has never been their time of year.

Packers have 3 road games left, Giants,Bears and Vikings.
Currently 3-2 on the road, the old saying win at home split on the road, 12-4 record.

Since the Packers lost 1 at home, winning 2 of the next 3 road games will put them back at that 12-4 pace.

Not a must win, in fact if The Packers could chose which game to lose it would probably be The Giant game.

Interesting thing, when I brought up FFL site I use that ranks players, Aaron is #1QB this week, He has usually been somewhere between #3 and #5.

Obviously fantasy guru's think he is going to have a big day.

O-line showed the effects of having to make 2 moves last week, but Evan Dietrich-Smith and T.J. Lang both now have a game under their belts, and should be better.

I'm betting The Packers D will try and shut down the running game to force Manning to throw the ball, then let the DB's do their thing.

Control the line of scrimmage, force The Giants to drive the length of the field, create turnovers, do these 3 things, no matter how ugly it could be Packers will win.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Must win? No.

Reading the bet between Foster & VR? Win. Well, almost. Will there be a bet or will it just be talk? :-"

The Giants knocked us out of the Playoffs twice in 5 years. They're our new Cows. But we're going in the Playoffs regardless of what happens with this game. So it's not a must win.

After the Giants knock the Niners out of the Playoffs (and Pack93z mails me a shot glass) then we face the Giants in the CG, that game's a must win.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : *years
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @mattschneidman Mark Murphy says he anticipates “many Packers games” being played in Germany, Ireland and/or the U.K. over the next 5-10 yea
dfosterf (25-Jul) : *cafeteria* I have hit my head also, so I sympathize
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Possibly hit his head leaning into the glass protecting the food in the cafateria
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Maybe a low flying drone
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Is that better or worse than Banks bad back?
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Savion concussion ... not good.
packerfanoutwest (24-Jul) : Aaron Rodgers’s first pass of first team period was picked off
Mucky Tundra (24-Jul) : tbh I didn't hear of his passing
