I'm hoping the Jets win out, it would be nice to see the Pats not make the playoffs and get the old man back in there (even though he will probably throw a pick that hurts the team) but it would be nice to see him win the trophy and then retire on top as he is waving to all the packer fans and Ted Thompson that turned there back on him.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I can't really consider myself a Favre fan. I do like him more than the rest of the players though.

I hope he has some great games. I do, however, not hope he'll win a SB. Play-offs would be nice, maybe even a lost SB, but I want to remember him as the guy that gave his all in GB and got this team to glory. Not as the one that was traded to the Jets and helped them to gloy after years of mediocrity. (Although Pennington had an amazing year aswell)

Favre was my favorite Packer last year. Then I lost all respect for him after he un-retired. I don't care if he would've played for us, un-retiring in the same year you retired is just retarded. He's a great player, but the sole purpose I want the Jets to go to the playoffs are: 1) Draft Pick, 2) Pats don't go to playoffs.

Personally, i'm with Fin on this.
Favre's not a Packer anymore, so i really don't care how well or bad he does.
I'm a Packer fan.

He is not the q/b of the team that I love..

with that said, I wish him well...hope he doesnt get hurt and can walk away HAPPY

I wanted him HERE as our q/b....But I am not going to spend all my waking hours bashing the Packers for letting him go like some people do

Someone the other day couldnt figure out why I had to come to the "rescue" for the Pack when ever a negative post was said about them..

Its very simple..

I LOVE MY GREEN BAY PACKERS

Honestly, if the Packers aren't in it, yes I would like him and the Jets to win it all. Absolutely.

Would it cause Chaos in Packerland.. most likely.. but the man has been a great player for years, the Jets have struggled for years.. plus it would stick it to the Pats.. and anything that does that I am all for.

Not to mention that it increases the value of the Packers draft pick.. granted finishing just as a playoff team would only increase the value by 25 slots or so..

I am a Favre fan.. but only after being a die hard stubborn as hell Packer fan..

He had equal responsibility in the parting of the ways for the Packers.. if not more of it.. so in that part I blame both sides.. but I also have the ability to put it in the past and accept it for what it is.. lack of communication and stubbornness on both sides.

I root for Brett and really do hope he wins the Superbowl this year. What makes that harder to do, imo, isn't Brett Favre himself, but the fans that post Ted Thompson hatred coupled with BF love in commentary sections of the various GBP news sites (The Worst, as pretty unmoderated), and those that do so on a continuing basis in the moderated forums to a lesser degree.

Notice how I said, "coupled with". I have NO problems with those that SINCERELY root for both him, the Jets, and us. That is an entirely different animal, and I welcome and enjoy their input.

I also totally UNDERSTAND those harboring sincere resentment towards Favre, because the WHOLE fiasco has made it very difficult to remain a total Packer fan and carry on a decent conversation about it without some BF interjection. I say that the resentment is misplaced if directed at Brett, and say it should be directed to the CSAers (industry term), but that is just my own admittedly biased opinion.

In a true nuts and bolts sense, all Packer fans should be rooting for Bretty and the Jets. Right now our pick from them is a 3rd rounder, the 85th pick in the draft. If they win their division, that pick rises to (approximately) the 57th pick in the 2nd round, and if the Jets somehow make it to the Superbowl, it rises (obviously) to either the 31st or 32nd pick in the first round. An extra 1st round pick is something that anyone harboring a grudge can get over that grudge PDQ, IMO.

This post is my PURE OPINION, and is NOT intended to cause further friction and/or resentment by ANYONE. Even the most ARDENT FAVRE crotch-sniffing/TT hating fan is completely entitled to their point of view. I just ardently disagree with it.
