Unbelievable. This from Finley's agent today:

"Black Baratz, the agent for Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley, took a hit at QB Aaron Rodgers recently, not comparing him to great quarterback leaders in the league. "A-Rod is a great QB he isn't a great leader," Baratz wrote. "There's a major difference. Leaders take the blame and make everyone better. He doesn't."

http://www.kffl.com/hotw/NFL?page=0#ixzz26qldU0pS

I find it hard to think Baratz would simply throw this out there on his own without his client's consent. I had a lot of hope for Finley, but this is getting out of hand. He has a cancerous quality to him in my opinion, and it is time we cut him loose. That would be addition by subtraction. Finley can't back up his own boasting on the field. Why keep him? Mismatch? How, if he doesn't catch the freaking football?

Unless Finley's agent is completely off the chain, which I highly doubt, I think the Packers would be prudent to rid themselves of this player. Take what you can get for him in trade or cut him loose. This completely unnecessary drama, year after year, takes away from the focus of the team. We won a Super Bowl without him. We can win another one without him. Maybe more.

No, Finley had nothing to do with it. Baratz was tweeting about Cutler, and the drop off in leadership from him and Manning, Brees and Brady. And then was asked why he didn't include Rodgers, and that was his reply.

I highly doubt he is running his tweeting past his clients.

Though I would like to see Finley come out and correct Baratz or drop him as his agent.

Reason for the quote.. not related to Finley's thoughts as explained. My guess.. backed into a corner due to both players barking on field at teammates. Either that, or truly how he feels.

Either way.. tough to pin this on Finley. What will be interesting is whether Finley finds a new agent.

BTW.. what is Baratz doing, taking tweeting lessons from Jim Isray? lol.

Source NFL.COM

Blake Baratz, the agent for Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley, probably delighted Packers fans with his online criticism of Jay Cutler. His related sideswipe at Aaron Rodgers -- a god in Milwaukee -- wasn't received as warmly.

Baratz lashed out at Cutler on Twitter after the Chicago Bears quarterback was critical of his teammates in a press conference following Thursday's loss to the Packers.

"Jay Cutler, u serious in ur press conf last night?U sound like a 6 yr old who just had his animal crackers taken. Quit being a bitch, own up," Baratz wrote on Friday.

Baratz isn't the first to question Cutler's demeanor on the sideline, his interaction with teammates and the general aura of crankiness surrounding the man.

"There's a major difference & drop off in leadership from Manning, Brees, Brady, to the next best QB's in the league. Cutler doesn't get it," Baratz followed up.

Baratz was badgered by followers about why he left Rodgers -- Finley's quarterback -- off that list.

"ARod is a great QB he isn't a great leader," Baratz wrote. "There's a major difference. Leaders take the blame & make every1 better. He doesn't."

You'd be challenged to find others who feel that way about Aaron Rodgers.

This is coming from an agent, not a member of the Green Bay Packers. Still, interesting territory for Baratz to tread, and probably not a great service to his client. Baratz states clearly on his Twitter account that his thoughts are his own, but going out of his way to prod Rodgers isn't a service to Finley, who hasn't exactly enjoyed a pleasure cruise with the team over the years.

Despite the online clamor, we're going to assume Rodgers isn't losing sleep over it.

Well, James Jones certainly knows how to handle the situation in question:

“At that point in time, we’re trying to make a play. We’re struggling as an offense already, especially in these first two games. Frustration will kick in. But I love that dude, man. That ain’t going to change nothing.”

Jones said he and Rodgers have talked and that the quarterback apologized to him.

“Yeah, we talked. He apologized, said he’s sorry for showing his emotions. But I was like, ‘Ain’t no need to apologize. We’re trying to win. I messed up. Frustration happens,’” Jones said. “It’s all good. No love lost. We’re teammates. We’re family in here. Like I said, everybody is trying to win.’

Jones was also asked about Rodgers’ leadership, and whether the incident reflected poorly on him. Agent Blake Baratz, who represents tight end Jermichael Finley and linebacker Desmond Bishop, had written on his Twitter account Monday that Rodgers is not a great leader.

“For people to question his leadership is ridiculous. He’s a natural-born leader, not just by what he says, but how he carries himself, how he plays the game, how he handles certain situations,” Jones said. “Everybody in this locker room looks up to him as a leader. Everybody in this locker room believes in him.”

J-Mike, I'm really questioning his attitude, his commitment to improving his play, as well as his contributions as a teammate on this Packers football team. The agent has to know the sentiments of the player he is representing, and I would say his comments reflect those of Finley. We've heard the lip from him before.

From what I saw on the NFL.com article it was showing a video of Rodgers going off on Jones because he got out of the route and it caused the INT. So this agent is comparing that to the Jay Cutler going off on his Lineman. This is laughable. Rodgers had a good reason to yell at his reciever. There is a difference between turning the ball over and taking a sack. Reguarding trading Finley because of this shouldn't even be on the Packers minds... The agent is an idiot, he hasn't probably tooken a down in the NFL or played football in his life. And I have no reason to believe Finley influenced these comments. None the less, Arod could give 2 shits about what this guy says or any players in the locker room.

Prime example of people quick to slam Finley for things unnecessary. We want people to speak their mind, but when they do, they become targets. The mob = the stupid. Now we should trade Finley because of his agents comments??? Yeah, point the finger at Finley.

Regardless of whether or not Cutler is a bitch (and he is, imo) it's unprofessional for someone to call him that on twitter, especially someone who professionally represents players.

Opinions are like A-holes.....everyone has one.

I LOVED Jones reply about AROD though.
He has the right attitude. He knew he messed up, and AROD was just letting his emotions get to him.
What would you rather have? A QB that doesn't care, or one that SHOWS he cares, not only by his yelling but by his own actions? AR puts his own body on the line every play, and will do whatever he can to win a game. Jones sees that, and knows that.
