I'm not predicting this game. We'll split with each of our NFC North division opponents. You had your chance to win something big. I would have said sweep + points. Too late now.

The real Packers have showed their hand. Too many fans here are giving the Niners credit. No, the Niners are good, but that's it. They're not gonna win the conference. It's just the Packers are an average team.

We over-achieved last year and this year, it's the same crap defensively. We'll once again have an elite O and a crappy D, and go one and done.

I watched da Bears game and they looked like they were having fun out there. But you never know with 🇦🇷. He might just throw 5 TD passes and win the game for us. Or, he might have an average day.

Either way, the D will stink and allow 25+ points. It's all up to 🇦🇷 to win this game.

The 49'ers are more than "good," and trying to say other wise is silly.

I don't underestimate the Niners. Believe me, I know them well. I live here.

I mean, I think we ALL know Rodger's CAN make a comeback, and is more than capable of doing so. For whatever reason, he just doesn't seem to do so often, when given the chance...

It's kinda like me on Madden: I have a chance to drive the field and tie the game, and throw an interception in the first 2-3 plays of the drive . . . heh heh. 😳 😳

What have we seen Rodgers do over and over.. handle pressure via the blitz normally torches it.. the pressure of replacing a legend, the pressure of red zone passing with tighter windows. Rodgers lives for the pressure.

I think we need to ask ourselves.. is it Rodgers or is it something else that gives the illusion that we can't comeback under him.

To me.. Rodgers has shown time and time again that he can handle pressure.. as well if not better than any other QB out there.

Most know I am not a QB fan.. but I think this criticism isn't Rodgers alone.

Far to often we over praise the QB.. but we also lay to much fault there as well.

PS.. that is about all the most "love" I can give the QB position.. even that pains me. [grin1]

Rodgers is human.. yesterday Bowman sold his blitz fake well.. Rodgers didn't expect him to make that quick of a drop and missed him.. that was a hell of a play by Bowman to take two steps in and recover that deep. Rodgers made a mistake there.. but sometimes you gotta tip your hat to the opposition. Bowman made a play.

A little on Rodgers inability to lead a comeback..

I reject your reality, and substitute my own. ~ Adam from Mythbusters.

Kinda hard last season when you rarely trailed in a game. [grin1]

But lets shine the light on this topic.

Going Backwards.

12/4/2011 - Giants vs Packers.

Tied going into the fourth quarter. Rodgers leads the Packers from his own 20 yard line with 58 seconds to go to a game winning field goal. Probably doesn't count because it was tied. ;)

1/2/2011 - Bears vs Packers.

Leads the Packers to a game winning touchdown in the 4th quarter. Again.. probably doesn't count as it was tied. False pressure, lol.

12/13/2009 0 Bears vs Packers.

Packers trailing going into the 4th quarter.. Rodgers leads the Packers to a game winning touchdown drive. Must not count as it wasn't in the final 2 minutes.

9/13/2009 - Bears vs Packers

Packers trailing 12 -10 going into the 4th quarter, Rodgers hits Jennings with 1:15 left to secure the win. Pretty sure that one has to count.

9/28/2009 - Packers vs Lions. *** fixed the date.. my mistake.

Tied going into the 4th.. Packers outscore the Lions in the 4th quarter 17 to 7 for the win. Probably doesn't count.

9/14/2008 Lions vs Packers..

11:18 left in the game.. Packers down by 1 with 7:51 to go. Rodgers hits Jennings on the next drive to set up a go ahead FG. Next Drive TD. Defense then caps it off with 2 more for a 48 - 25 victory.

Point being.. he can and has lead the Packers to victories late. They might not be as storied as some that legends are made of.. but they are still Wins in the column.

Is it his fault that we have held the lead more often than not? Is it his fault every time in not coming back?

The guy is clutch under the blitz, in the redzone.. when passing is all the Packers have.. but somehow that is different in this pressure situation? I doubt it.

Honestly, some of these again are a product of just being outmatched. We're not ready. I hope we get there mid-way through the season. I believe we do, but this team is very young and we have a couple scrubs out there right now.

The Packers, for all the aerial firepower, do not seem to do well when smacked squarely in the face. And our defense, short of a few players, is soft. Jennings' veer clear attempt at Gore at the 5 yard line was inexcusable. The Packers are fun to watch, but we are kind of a finesse team that could use a little more grit.

I think McMillan is the starter at safety soon....if not now. Bush needs to be phased out as starter pronto. Hayward? But, I believe the young players will develop nicely as the season progresses.
