Correct me if I'm am wrong here ZS, but I do believe that that Packers only had ONE playoff game at home during the entire 2 decade (ya, that's 20 years) that you mentioned......truly an impressive stat to be proud of.
Not to mention that in the period of 68-92 (ya, that's 25 years).....it was the ONLY playoff win....of course the Packers were only in the playoffs in 72 and 82 during that time.[ass]

Yes, you are correct VR. That time was miserable. 1969-1995, we had no Championships. Had someone not known about the Lombardi years, they'd know what it's like to be a Vikings fan.

It is ironic that a vikings fan points to a low point in the Packers championships. And laughs that is was 25 years in duration. I guess he can't fathom that 13 championships 4 of them SBs will allow fans to be a little more tolerant of those off years. After all every season has been an off season for them. At least the team moving to LA will end the misery for many fans you will come to the Green side.

This is what I want. I want home-field advantage wrapped up and Playoff dominance before a SB win. Just like '96. I'd much rather have a '96 than a '10.

I would love for our homefield advantage to return, but I would not mind at all having to go through dome after dome to get to the big game. We're a dome team.

Side note to this comment as I was sitting a couple rows up for this game... the fans of Lambeau went way over the line in comments towards Moss that day in my mind. Racially charged threats on his being have no place in sports.

His moon over Lambeau was mild in terms of an exchange of comments direct towards him and his family.

I made up my mind that day that I would not take my kids to a game at Lambeau until they were old enough to handle any type of comments that could be presented. Probably the saddest moments it terms of being a Packer fan that I can remember... and not because we lost a game.


Now.. on the main topic.. sports played on a level playing field generally finds a way to balance it all out in the end.. same with the Packers home field advantage.

I could talk about balance playing into it... but just don't feel it today.
