Losing Davon House hurts. He was well on his way to cementing himself as the No. 2 corner in base packages. I wish Casey Heyward had Jarrett Bush's physicality or Bush had Heyward's ball skills. Together they're one complete player. Separately, they have flaws that need work, though Heyward is just a rookie.
Daniel Muir looks good. Frankly, I think he's better than C.J. Wilson, who’s blown off the ball too much. I'm cautiously optimistic about the d-line. I think they're heading in the right direction. Even Mike Neal has quietly had moments.
D.J. Smith is starting and there's no looking back. Des Bishop returning would bump Hawk instead. This is Hawk's final season, in my opinion. I still concede that Bishop's injury may have saved Hawk's roster spot, but I'm just speculating.
The offense will handle their business. I'm actually looking forward to watching the first-team o-line with the exception of Newhouse. I remain skeptical, but only because I haven't seen enough of him.
The running game worries me. The Packers have had bad years under McCarthy, but this one could be the worst if somebody doesn’t emerge. Alex Green is not that guy, in my opinion.
