“Structurally the shoulder is doing well. It’s more of a nerve thing at this point. I’m going to use the example I used in the locker room: During the season, I couldn’t lift a 30, 35 pound dumbbell over my head. Now I’m up to a 90 pound dumbbell. I’m not a doctor, but that’s progress.”

Peripheral nerves heal, it just takes a long time. With acupuncture, diet and herbs you can make it go faster, but you're still looking at around 1 millimeter per day. Russian scenar is good too.

I wish him the best. The Packer's need a 2010 version of Tramon Williams back, even if it's not until mid-season or so.

If he saw a team mate close to making a tackle, he would pull up and not help...That was from an interview with the big unit bill michaels

Main point being, we don't NEED him on the field now. We can afford to sit him down and let him get healthy. Presuming House is ready and Heyward can play.

It's not just Bush and Lee anymore. LOL

I'm not as optimistic as many are about House and Heyward -- if Tramon doesn't come back to his 2010 form, we are relying really hard on "rookie potential" to improve the pass coverage. Sitting Tramon through the summer (save for rehab-related work) makes all the sense in the world to me. More reps for House, Heyward, et al, means deeper ability to assess their readiness, ability to coach them up more and faster, and gives better and earlier warning of unexpected red flags. It strikes me as a no-brainer.

And as we saw... he shouldn't have.

Our best cover men ended up being both Woodson (who really isn't that great anymore) and Jarrett Bush (believe it or not, he hasn't been a liability as of late).

Tramon just wasn't the same.

Tough to blame the shoulder though. We don't play man coverage that much anymore, so I don't know if receivers were punching him in the shoulder during their routes, but Tramon should at least have been able to bat down more passes.

But after seeing games where he filled in for Al Harris during his injury, I know he's capable of being more than a one-year wonde.r

Nick Collins is the one who put the hit on Tramon Williams that hurt his shoulder, or rather the collision between them.
