I'd like to see Jackson carry it more, but I don't know if it would have alot of use.

They're both about the same backs. Maybe we should draft a fast 10-touch back this year, that would really help in a commitee.

See my thread in the draft section that's called "the running back position." That's exactly what I said.

Well......now our only hope left is to beat the Bears, and HOPEFULLY not end up as the Lions first, and only win this year.

During the game I predicted that if we lose to the Texans, we will go on to lose to the Lions. I stand by that prediction.

the runningback-by-committee model is the future of the position, we should adopt it too!

Hmmm.. I distinctly remember last season, early on being pissed that we consistently rotated backs into the game.. never giving anyone a chance to get into a groove like Grant had second half of the this game.

Rotating backs is effective if they have a contrast in style.. or if you are pumping the run game non stop. We don't stay on the running game consistently and I would challenge that there is alot of difference in styles.

Grant is a jackhammer and Jackson is a bit more elusive, but neither is a open field threat.

Not saying it is wrong, just offering an opinion.

Good point, though I do want to point out that last season, our entire complement of backs seemed to be hurt on a revolving basis..

Man....i hope you are wrong. How bad would that hurt? Heck.....had the Lions kicked some field goals, they would have beat the Vikings today. But they kept going for it on 4th down.

The Texans arn't a powerhouse........and to lose to them AT HOME, just shows how much our D REALLY sucks.

Not only does it show badly our D sucks, it shows how mediocre our team is overall. 5-8 may be just about right.

But hey, look at the bright side. We could still finish 8-8.

Win the last 3?
I don't see that happening. Our D won't hear of it!!!

I am pleading for Mike McCarthy to quit abandoning the run game...
