Nice attempt to derail a damn thread with the FIRST frickin reply! College staff always thinking the rules don't apply! :P

Trivia question: Which former President later became a US Senator? Which became a US Representative? And which became a member of the Supreme Court?

fairly easy
1. Andrew Johnson. After being impeached as President and the Senate failing to carry the required 2/3 majority by 1 vote he finished his term. Years later the State if TN appointed him Senator. This was in the period before the general population elected their Senators.
2. John Q Adams. He was once asked if he didn't feel serving as a US Representative was a step down after serving as President. I am paraphrasing his answer but he said serving the people of his District was the highest honor a man could ask for.
3. William Taft. The original big boy.

I don't see it as happening either. But speaking of US Senators, why not talk about that Wade?

When I seen the post and especially with professor Wade at the helm.. first thought was this.

300 level social psych class we were posed this question.. and had to pick the question apart, decide upon a stance and defend it.

"If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered intimidation or criminal threatening?"

The question itself in reality to me, is not answerable with any definite conclusion.. but it was interesting to see the avenues of interpretation, justification and broad ranges of collective thoughts on the subject.

So to tie to the last couple of posts in the thread.. my opinion is that being a "teacher" probably could be one of the most rewarding jobs on the planet in theory.. or may have been at one time.

But the overwhelming majority of the teachers today aren't what I would define as a teacher.. they are a laborer putting in their time, ticking off the required check marks of the curriculum and waiting for the summer months to roll around.

It is that stigma that has found its way to attach itself to the dying breed of quality teachers left within the systems.. and slowly some of those are being turned into the time clock punchers.

That to me is why teachers don't hold the respect they once did.. like much of society it is being overrun by those just in it for a paycheck with as little effort as possible.

I was rarely challenged mentally in college.. instead it was a never ending string of remedial tasks that required effort and time, but rarely inspired learning, creative thought and anything more than a masked requirement for the professor to collect a paycheck without actually engaging the students.

Sad when one can look back at 4 plus years, thousands of dollars and only vividly remember a simple assignment or question as listed above. At least the psych classes dove into that world of thought and make you really think about the questions.. not just walking through the class like a mental zombie with just one urge to complete meaningless and thoughtless busy work.

Flip the script and place yourself in the professors shoes once the truly want to "teach".. how boring and uninspiring must it be to be held in charge of students that have become these mental zombies through learned behavior and try an get them to engage.. no wonder they turn into the clock punchers.

Love your post Pack, but I gotta answer the first part of the question. I think it's philosophical/religious as much as psychological.

Does a multiple personality person have multiple souls? If not, you're just sending one person to the after world (him or herself). So it's suicide. If the answer is yes, it's murder.

Martha Careful (45m) : it's funny how guys who are so desperate to play for championships, at least so they say, just take the money.
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Semantics ;)
Zero2Cool (2h) : They didn't return. They didn't even leave! ;-)
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Crosby and Garrett return to their respective teams; truckloads of $$$ solved any problems they had

TheKanataThrilla (8-Mar) : I could actually see Seattle inquiring about Willis.
TheKanataThrilla (8-Mar) : If we took a flyer on a QB, I like Kyle McCord out of Syaracuse. Keep Willis definitely, but don't turn down a good trade.
Mucky Tundra (8-Mar) : RB Kareem Hunt as well
Zero2Cool (8-Mar) : Tyreek Hill also arrested before or during Chiefs time for assault.
Martha Careful (8-Mar) : Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy was arrested for assault. They are now even more likely to supplement the WR position
Mucky Tundra (8-Mar) : So weak I had to say it twice!
Mucky Tundra (8-Mar) : But it feels like a weak QB draft class

Mucky Tundra (8-Mar) : Gotta say, didn't see Geno getting traded from the Seahawks

Zero2Cool (4-Mar) : Appears Jets released Adams. It'll be official in few hours.
Zero2Cool (3-Mar) : We have re-signed LB Isaiah McDuffie
Zero2Cool (2-Mar) : Jets taking calls for Davante Adams. That $38m cap number hurting lol
Zero2Cool (2-Mar) : Guess it's not official until the 12th
Zero2Cool (2-Mar) : Deebo went for a 5th to Commanders?

beast (26-Feb) : Rams trying to trade Stafford and Kupp, then signing Rodgers and Adams? Just speculation, but interesting
Zero2Cool (26-Feb) : Packers shopping Jaire Alexander per Ian Rapoport
Zero2Cool (25-Feb) : Gutekunst and Jaire Alexander’s agent, John Thornton, are meeting this week in Indianapolis to determine the future of the Packers’ 28-year-
Zero2Cool (25-Feb) : Gutekunst says Mark Murphy told him he can trade their first-round pick despite the draft being in Green Bay.
Zero2Cool (24-Feb) : Packers. 🤦
Zero2Cool (24-Feb) : One team.
Zero2Cool (24-Feb) : One team petition NFL to ban Brotherly Shove.
beast (23-Feb) : Seems like he was just pissed because he was no longer the starter
beast (23-Feb) : Campbell is right, he's rich and he doesn't have to explain sh!t... but that attitude gives teams reasons to never sign him again.
