Dude's shoulder first popped out in high school. Hurt it again junior year in college. Battled through it as much as he could. Finally had surgery. Kind of a James Starks type value pick. Around the same area in the draft where Wells was picked. Difference being, Wells belonged there.
Could be a dark horse to beat out Newhouse. Or Sherrod too if he's back in time.

"We had some concerns as well, because the offensive line is a very physical place to play,” Packers General Manager Ted Thompson told the Press-Gazette earlier this week. “But we felt like he was such a great person, a guy that really wants to be a good player and well-liked by the people there at Florida State. We thought there was a risk there on the injury side, but we thought it was worth the risk."
I'm normally not for drafting players with an injury history, but this kid, in R7, could be a steal if he can hold up physically. I was thinking going into this draft that our #4 or 5 need was OT. We may have gotten a real gem here with Andrew Datko.
Nice quick report:
Andrew Datko, Florida State
Ht: 6'6, Wt: 321 pounds

If that shoulder repair holds up well, and becomes stronger, there is no telling how far this player could go. Nice to have two pure LTs in Sherrod and Datko. Hopefully they can both get healed up and contribute.
