It might work out that way, but I hope we are more fortunate with who is available when we pick. Vinny Curry I particularly don't much like, too small for DE(266) , too slow for LB(4.9-40) and has some bagage. Watch Ted Thompson pick him and prove me wrong. LOL

I still think they should try to trade down a few spots. I don't have a problem with Konz, but I think he's more early 2nd quality than late 1st. Same with Mercilus, Curry, Worthy, Branch, Hightower, and any others I've seemed named for #28. I see many, if not most of those being available at 33-40ish.

McClellin's my favorite of all the ones that I've been mentioned in various places for the Pack in round 1, but I think he's a reach at 28, too. Trade out of the first round, Ted!

I'd be a whole lot happier with DE Mercilus, OLB Lewis and DE Crawford without trade in 1, 2 and 3.

I'm hoping we can get a DE in rd 1 because I think we have a better chance of getting an OLB to fill our needs in rd 2 than to get a DE to do so.

Heck, even one of our best pass rushing defenses in recent history had a 3-deep starting caliber rotation with Kampman, Jenkins and KGB.

We're in such dire need of something opposite of Clay that you could pretty much wait 'till day 3 and still find an immediate starter.

That's not a positive.

Of course, that is an extreme view, one I wouldn't prefer. But, imagine, if it were to happen, it would be pretty frickin' wild. I do believe we are that close to repeating as SB champs. One big ass pass rush away. Even without a S pick...

Not what I want him to do necessarily, but it certainly would be a thrill to know we will be putting a lot of QBs on their backs this season. Those types of players front 7 do wonders for a secondary.

i just hope he really goes after those positions, and we need more than one DE and OLB each, for sure. Pick and Raji could use a blow too with a quality backup NT.

So getting 2 OLBs and 2 DLs would be nice. Maybe even a total of 5 or 6 between those positions. But we do need help in other areas. I want at least 2 OL picks and of course, Ted will pick one WR. A RB who can block/catch would be nice too. And one or two DBs would be nice.
