Actually, we have more good news. Today we saw Mia's neurologist and she put Mia through her gammit of tests and she was incredibley impressed with the progress Mia has been making physically. Even though she is thin, she is very strong in her legs and her balance has improved much more quickly than expected.

We then saw Mia's Oncologist and she went more into depth with explaining the MRI results. I reported that the ventricles have subsided, what I didn't realize yesterday was that they are very, very close to normal, and her brain is nearly completely healed. The response time of some of her neurons is still a little slow and that will just take time. All of her blood counts such as hemoglobin are all in normal range and the Oncologist has absolutely no concerns. Mia's growth has slown down as her twin has passed her in height and weight - but her endocrine tests showed no abnormalities. I guess a kid trying to rid her body of chemo poisen isn't as hungry as other kids. It's no doubt the chemo stunted her growth a little, but it was a relief to get normal results from her growth tests.

Well that's about it, we got home around midnight, and absolutely loath that fricken drive.

That said, glad you made it back safely and even more so that Mia is whooping up her tests. Too bad we couldn't hook up, we'll have to one of these days just so I can punch your lights out. =)

With love, of course.

Sounds good. I had to pass on Jeremy this week because we have to leave tomorrow afternoon and get back to Bismarck for a busy Saturday. I loathe going through the cities on a Friday evening.

I'll let you know the next I come down, which will probably be in October.

But put me on that "get together list" -- I'll have no classes on T, Th next term...and if it's one of the other days I'll schedule a test or something.

Okay boys and hot girls too, we go back to Rochester in October. It seems like a central place for those of you in Minnesota, Iowa, Sconi, and Illinois. We could get together for a couple beers and you can all meet the girl with the beatiful million dollar head. That's what the neurologist called it. Either she meant all the brains I passed down, or the medical costs to save her life. Who knows?

I feel so good about all of this now. Still not sure how we made it through it all, but we definitely extracted gold from a shitburger - cause we are a much stronger family than we once were.
