Well, she only has 12 radiation treatments left until she comes home on the 28th. This has been a brutal month for our family. Luckily, my mother came to stay for three weeks and run the household, and Julie's sister has helped quite a bit.
It has been incredible to witness the courage this little girl has diplayed throughout this process. She gets a little pissed when she comes out of anestesia, but otherwise her demeanor is very positive.
She still has 53 weeks of follow up chemo ahead of her and all that goes with that, but she will be in Bismarck for almost all of it except MRI's to be done at Mayo.
Thanks to all of you for encouraging me to stay positive. This is one of those kicks in the nuts nobody asks for or deserves, but it sure helps when you have some buddies holding a bag of ice for you.
