The Green Bay Packers, that may sound strange to people, but Mike McCarthy and Tom Clements — Clements is their offensive coordinator, McCarthy their head coach — take great pride in their ability to develop quarterbacks, tweak their deliveries and do those things. They had to do that with Aaron Rodgers coming out of Cal, and look what they did with Matt Flynn. I think they would embrace — maybe embrace — a Tim Tebow there.

I don't think there is anyway this happens.

No reason to waste a perfectly good roster spot.

I heard this this morning as well. Look at the quote - it sounds like pure speculation with zero substance to back it up. Chris is just trying to be the first one to suggest it for the sake of making conversation.

I wouldn't mind it. Might be a solid backup QB.

If he's on the sideline you have dissension from Tebow/his fans/media, OR he's taking away snaps from the NFL MVP who's is mobile as well.

He's a between the tackles fullback running threat who is a marginal passing threat at best, I don't see the advantages he provides.

Bears fan with a healthy respect for the Packers and the Rivalry.

Please, please, please don’t combine the Tebow fandom with the Packer fandom. My head may explode.

lol, that's funny.

I've tried thinking of how or why the Packers could benefit from blowing a 6th rounder for Tim Tebow.

I don't think the Broncos want to play against Tim Tebow because of the circus. I also don't think they want to see him leading a team into the playoffs, especially if they fail to make it. So, going to the Packers, a team they won't play for another 3 seasons, sitting behind Aaron Rodgers would appeal to the Broncos.

I really don't see this happening primarily because the Packers endured a circus in '08 and I don't think the reward is worth the risk.

WAIT A TICK! 5:00 left in the game, Packers up by 15 points, insert Tim Tebow to run... RUN out the clock!! Muwhahahahahaha

Edit, I do think the best thing FOR Tim Tebow would be Mike McCarthy's QB school. Two seasons in that school, I bet the Packers could trade Tebow for a 3rd or 2nd.

Edit2, lol Randall Cobb at RB, Tim Tebow at QB ... that's a gimmick play waiting to happen. Tim throw? Randall throw? Tim run? Randall run? WTF???!?!?!?

Why not? I think he might back a decent backup fullback. And Mike McCarthy has said he would love to be able to coach him.

He is fundamentally inaccurate. You can tweak a QB but you can't change who he is. If you are going to have to, just change who he is by getting someone else.

Our O is about timing and precision. That is not something in which Tebow would even be average. Or even could be average with work.

If we want to scrap our whole offense and start running a college option, Tebow would be a good fit.

Tebow is not a QB. There is nothing to develop. You might as well take DJ Williams and convert him to QB.

I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

I wouldn't mind, actually, if not for the media circus that comes along with him. He's not a great QB, but he's a football player. He'd be a great weapon as a third-down option, too. And let's not forget the importance of being "Packer People". I don't think anyone can get more Packer-ish than Tebow...
