Instead of trying to come up with the "all time" bests -- IMO an impossible task....

What are your top ten albums right now. Think of this as the ones you can't stop listening to right now. Or perhaps as the ten that if you had to decide right now, you would take along if you were going to be stranded in a boat or on a mountain by yourself for a month or so.

Mine:
Epica, Classical Conspiracy.
Nightwish, End of an Era.
Glenn Gould, A State of Wonder.
Sarah Vaughn, The George Gershwin Songbook.
Miles Davis, Kind of Blue
Dexter Gordon, Great Encounters
Jaco Pastorius, Jaco Pastorius
Chet Baker, The Best of Chet Baker Sings.
Eva Cassidy, Live from Blues Alley.
Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Epica - Requiem for the Indifferent (Mostly because it's new and I'm trying to absorb it)
Nightwish - Wishmaster
Pretty Lights - Filling Up The City Skies
Within Temptation - The Unforgiving
Sirenia - Elixer for Existence
Sirenia - At Sixes and Sevens
Theatre Of Tragedy - Aégis
Nightwish - End of an Era
Epica - Consign to Oblivion

I guess that's only nine, I'd include Nightwish - Imaginaerum a couple weeks ago for the same reason as Requiem for the Indifferent.

Beyond The Witching Hour by a group in the S.F. bay area called Astral Eyes.

One song on there, called "My Last Serenade", is freakin' awesome. [rockon]

But that's just me. Ghost River and Song of Me (at least the first half, Tuomas blabbers on in spoken word for the second half) are songs to check out if you're on the fence, youtube 🙂

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
Bruce Springsteen - The Rising
Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball (my favorite artist's newest, and I haven't gotten to listen to it enough yet)
Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto (probably not as good an album as Viva La Vida, but it's still new-ish to me and I like it).
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Thin Lizzy - Bad Reputation
Pearl Jam - Ten
Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon: End of the Day
Oasis - What's the Story Morning Glory?

Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
Radiohead - OK Computer
Hollywood Undead - American Tragedy
Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More

This is incredibely hard.... No Modern Glitch, no Lachende Derde, no Franz Ferdinand, no Sam's Town... But those two Arctic Monkeys albums... Between WPSIATWIM and Suck it and See... It could be a completely different band

So far though, a lot of people have made some pretty good lists. Goes to show that there is STILL plenty of good music being written.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
Mucky Tundra (19-Jun) : One person on Twitter=cannon law
