Rodgers better win this award. In all honesty, if Rodgers played every home game in a dome then that record would have been his like 2 weeks ago.

Even though IMO Rodgers season is far better and after watching last night, Brees offensive line play was WAY better than Rodgers has been getting.

I think the TD record is more important too, but isn't the Yards record the last Marino record to fall? Poor guy. Breaks every single passing record and never wins a SB only to see every record fall one by one while he gets fat then sells diet aids.

And I agree. We'll lose to the Lions because their 1st stringers should be able to beat our 2nd stringers.

Now back to the original topic, Brees has a shot for the MVP still because the NFL MVP method is designed by crack smokin' hippies. Instead of the best player of the year (like how it's done in baseball and how it SHOULD be done), the award goes to the most meaningful dude to his team. Whatever that means.

So despite πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· owning pretty much every other player in the NFL, who means more to the team - Aaron, Drew, or Tom Brady? Now if that isn't football fan mental masturbation, I don't know what is.

Boy some of you are some really smart mofos, being we don't even know who seeds 2 or 3 are yet; and you guys already have the games played. Maybe San Fran doesn't win their game and then Detroit wants to tank for the sixth seed, so that Little Napoleon gets his revenge on the strong hand shake guy.

You guys bring a smile to my face sometimes.

Meaningless to who? To you Porforis?

There were over 73,000 fans at the game that would disagree with your opinion. There were thousands of good fans there who probably were given a ticket to this game as a Christmas gift, people who were hoping they could say "I was there with my son, and we saw the 29 year old passing yardage record broken."

I say Great for the Saints to make it happen tonight, for the fans who were there.

I say GREAT for Drew who is a class act, and a fine man with a fine reputation and a fine family.

I find nothing meaningless about Drew's accomplishment at all.

But that is just me... I am not part of the fucked up society who has to put down incredible efforts and achievements at the highest level of sports or any other endevor.

Is getting the record at home worth not being there for your team in the postseason? What's more important, the record or a super bowl? Would you rather see your QB break an NFL record live or sit at home and watch him win a super bowl?

I expressed my opinion strongly, and perhaps not as precisely as I could have but my main point is that passing yardage falls pretty far down the list of important QB stats in terms of winning games. That doesn't mean that Brees isn't good in other categories (because he absolutely is), but altogether not a good indication of overall ability. Just take a look at the Packers' yardage vs. opponents this year, and then our record.

TDs > Yards. By far.

Let's put aside the "but I'd rather have the SB Ring" crap. No shit. It doesn't need to be said. That's like saying that the sky is blue. That just wastes my time.

When it comes to meaningful records, I want πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· to own the TD record. Right now it's Brady's, right? I think Marino had 48 then Brady broke it with 50 in 2007 if I remember correctly.

My prediction? The voters will wuss out and call it a tie.

(There's precedent: Favre's #3 with Sanders running for 2000+).
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Actually, Peyton Manning broke Dan Marino's record in 2004, throwing 49 touchdowns. Tom Brady then broke Manning's record in 2007.

So, who breaks Brady's - Brees or πŸ‡¦πŸ‡·? Even though I think πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· is the better QB, πŸ‡²πŸ‡² is more likely to rest πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· than Peyton is to rest Brees so I think it's more likely Brees.

πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· is at 45 right now and I doubt πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· even walks into the field in the 2nd half. Brees is at 41 so this year is out of the question.

Zero2Cool (59m) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (2h) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (2h) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (3h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (3h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (3h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (3h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (3h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (3h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (3h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (3h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (3h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (3h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (3h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (3h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (3h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (3h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (3h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (3h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (3h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (4h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (4h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (4h) : Packers will get in
beast (4h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (4h) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (4h) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (6h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (7h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (7h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (7h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (8h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (17h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (17h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (21h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
