We have a woman giving her husband a lethal sherry enema :

Investigators say a woman caused her husband's death by giving him a sherry enema, leading to alcohol poisoning.

The enema caused his blood alcohol level to soar to 0.47 percent -- almost six times the legal intoxication limit in Texas, a toxicology report showed.

Tammy Jean Warner, 42, was indicted on a charge of negligent homicide. She is also charged with burning the will of her husband, Michael Warner, a month before his death on May 21.

Michael Warner, a 58-year-old machine shop owner, had a long history of alcoholism but couldn't ingest alcohol by mouth because of painful medical problems with his throat, said Lake Jackson, Texas, police detective Robert Turner. The enema was a way he could become intoxicated without drinking alcohol, Turner said.

We have a man posing as a cop to rape prostitutes :

A Seattle man already accused of posing as a cop to attack a prostitute is now charged with raping three women, including two child prostitutes hired off of Village Voice Media’s embattled Backpage.com classified ad service.

Jailed since August 2010 when he was charged with kidnapping a prostitute after claiming to be a Seattle police vice officer, Julian Daniel Tarver, 26, is now alleged to have raped three prostitutes – including two 15-year-old girls – and attempted to “arrest” a fourth.

King County Prosecutors contend Tarver – a convicted arsonist scheduled to go on trial in September – hired a child prostitute off of Backpage.com, then “arrested” her and raped her at his Greenwood apartment. A second girl – also hired off of Backpage – allegedly told police Tarver raped and robbed her while claiming to be a federal agent.

We have a woman procuring an abortion for her 12-year-old daughter  to protect her 19-year-old son from prosecution for rape:

A Houston woman got an abortion for her 12-year-old mentally disabled daughter in an effort to hide evidence that her son sexually assaulted the girl, authorities said.

The woman made her initial court appearance Monday on a charge of tampering with evidence. Prosecutors allege in court documents that she took her daughter to a Cleveland clinic, where she had an abortion on Oct. 22.

Her 19-year-old son was indicted earlier this year on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years old.

We have a man raping the toddler daughter  of his ex-girlfriend:

An Oak Harbor man was arrested over Memorial Day weekend for allegedly raping a 20-month-old girl he was babysitting and causing such a severe injury that the toddler had to undergo reconstructive surgery, court documents indicate.

A doctor who works at Seattle Children's Hospital and Harborview Medical Center and specializes in treating victims of sexual assault called the case "the worst ... trauma she has even seen in 20 years of practicing medicine," the police report states.

And we have a woman decapitating and eating her own infant son:

The 33-year-old woman who police said decapitated her infant son and ate parts of his body had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and postpartum psychosis before the slaying at a North Side home this weekend, the family said Monday.

Otty Sanchez confessed to killing Scott Wesley Buchholz Sanchez on Sunday with a steak knife and two swords before mutilating the corpse and eating body parts that included the brain, nose and toes, police said.

She has been charged with capital murder and remained under 24-hour observation Monday at University Hospital, where she was treated for self-inflicted knife wounds.

The father of the baby now is asking that she "pay the ultimate price."

I think it's a testament to what an unusually wonderful group of people you have on this site that they continue to hang around despite all the frequently unjustified verbal abuse you deal out.

Settle down girls.

The simple answer you seek NON is that people no longer fear God. People have gotten to the point where there aren't many mysteries to solve anymore so they foolishly dismiss God. I actually blame Chrisitianity in a way because Jesus is always portrayed as a wuss that forgives everything. They don't ever teach about Jesus' anger with mortals and the disgust he must have felt with certain human behaviors.

It's very simple.

EVERYONE nowadays survives to breed, so some people piss in our gene pool.

Now, take a look at people like the Spartans - a boy had to prove his worth to even SURVIVE. I don't expect us to go to that extreme, but somewhere in the middle should be good.

The thing I wonder about is why the rest of us hang around. 🤔

We had a case along the lines of this. A 44 year old man raped his nephew of 7 months and took a video of the whole thing. He posted it online...

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed by Since69. It sets my teeth on edge when people on both sides of the political or religious spectrum try to paint a apocalyptic picture of human existence. No matter what the sensationalized media might try to tell you, the world is not in fact getting steadily worse. In fact, all the numbers show that it is getting better every year. The human race worldwide now has the longest lifespan, the fewest deaths from infectious disease, the fewest deaths from warfare or religious persecution, the lowest infant and childhood mortality rates, the lowest rates of death and injury from violent crime, the lowest starvation rates, the greatest amount of individual freedom, and the best status of women and minorities of any period of human history . . . ever. Even in the United States, where admittedly our historically incredible heritage of individual liberty has taken a beating in the past century, the other numbers all apply.

This point in human history is the closest thing to a universal utopia humans have ever seen -- but you'll never hear about that in the media. You have to find those numbers on your own.

Humans have always committed acts of unspeakable barbarity against each other. If you want to test how strong your stomach is, pull out the books of I and II Maccabees (they're between your Old and New Testaments in the Bible) and try to subject yourself to some of the most lurid descriptions of savage torture ever penned. I'd recommend not trying it right after eating lunch.

In my original post, I wasn't trying to argue that the human race is getting worse. I was just overwhelmed at suddenly finding so many stories all on the same page at the same time. The human race has been incredibly fucked up since its inception. But the depth to which it is profoundly corrupt sometimes catches even cynical me off guard.
