couldn't a 50 year old hooker do the same thing, zombie? just sayin...

Not the same. Favre is a starting QB in one of the most brutal sports in the world. It takes a tremendous amount of work to just play any position in the NFL.
Now a 50-year-old hooker I thought was old when I was 16. When I'm 80, I'll still think a 50-year-old hooker is too old for me.
Just don't visit a high school. That will make you feel old and irrelevant. I worked on a couple projects in some high schools around the state. It made me feel old. When we work in office buildings, people can't help being sociable with you. For High School kids, it is an alien concept to them. It would be like trying to be sociable to a piece of furniture to them.

I was always weird about that. When I was in high school, I thought teenagers were idiots and longed to be in college. Now I look at high school kids and still think they're idiots.
Gravedigga - Yeah. A lot of us sports fans partially live vicariously though our favorite players. I'm slightly younger than Favre and watched the guy when I was in college. Funny thing is I was hoping Majkowski would regain his '89 form. It took about a year for Favre to win me over.
Sharpe was still my favorite player though and I was bummed when I heard about his injury. I think it was '96 when it just felt like magic and that's when I started becoming a Favre fan.
That SB season was magical. The only letdowns of the season were losing to the Cows and not facing the Cows in the Playoffs. I wanted so badly for us to play the Cows in the Playoffs as I knew this time we'd finally beat them.
It's a shame Favre didn't beat the Cows in the Playoffs as a Packer. However, I nearly got the same satisfaction last year, especially when that one stupid Cow got sand in his vagina and yelled at the MN sideline when Favre threw his 4th TD pass.
