It is beyond disgusting what is going on here in Pennsylvania.

JoePa has no moral compass.

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/Police-say-Joe-Paterno-didnt-do-enough-to-stop-sexual-abuse-scandal-110711

The whole thing was FIRST reported to HIM.

He IS Penn State. His so - called boss was and is his "lap-dog".

Paterno is Pennsylvania, much less that college.

Puleeze.

This is an absolutely wonderful state, except for the fact that it has people in it.

Chock - full of extraordinarily corrupt people.

I heard them talking about this on the radio. It came off very speculative and as they wanted Joe fired for the sake of ... having someone pay for the horrific actions. Reminded me of people clamoring for someone to take the fall for Michael Jackson's death.

http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/press.aspx?id=6270

What is not speculation is that the GA and his father went to Joe Paterno and told him that the son witnessed the rape of a 10 year old boy by Sandusky.

Joe Paterno told his "boss". Those that know the entire "Penn State Story" know that JoePa has no boss.

e.g.-- This same "boss" and the president of the university came to his house in 2004 and told him to resign.

He threw them out of his house and has continued to coach to this day - Perhaps his last day, but I digress.

Now, some might think that by Paterno going to his boss that he fulfilled his obligations in the matter.

There is now a 9th victim that has come forward, by the way.

Is that what you would do if some grad assistant reported a child rape to you? That would be it? You wouldn't care to know the welfare of the boy? You wouldn't possibly inquire into perhaps why the FUCKING POLICE WERE NOT CALLED WHEN A BOY WAS RAPED?

You wouldn't wonder - at a minimum- why Sandusky was banned from bringing boys onto the campus?

The last statement is assuming Joe Paterno isn't the one that came up with that "solution", as THAT would be speculation.

Here is the indictment. It's 23 pages, in PDF format

I'm not just so-pissed at JoePa, btw. They ALL should go, starting with that GA (he was 28 YEARS OLD at the time of the "incident"- went crying to his daddy, became head of recruiting subsequently--that's all "shady" also)

You're a 28 year old man and you see this old fuck raping a kid. You immediately bail and call dad, then, after reporting it, see nothing is done about it, you sit by silently for almost a decade while the rapist runs an organization focused on young disadvantaged boys, complete with billboards all over town singing the praises of said organization.

That's what you do in Happy Valley.

Where I come from, you go into that shower, snatch that old fucker by the neck and dick, break both off, THEN call the cops to pick up the pieces of the bloody hulk left on the shower-room floor.

Apparently the Sandusky's, McQueary's and Paterno's grew up together. Which is why McQueary went to his father. I can understand (not agree with) going to his father first, sure, but how does a father (in general) not bring this to the police to investigate further? Joe Paterno didn't know of the graphic details, but he was told a young by was fondled. Why didn't he bring that information to the police, just because the university president told him not to?

There was also a janitor whom witnessed the act as well.

What baffles me is that McQueary was a former football player himself. He's a big guy. Why didn't he take care of business right then instead of calling his father, who told him to get out of there and come home? Why didn't he grab the boy and take him along?

I am busting at the seams in anticipation of the revelation (nationwide) of what happened to the District Attorney that had a taped confession from Sandusky in 1998, yet declined to prosecute, with TWO victims at the time.

That's a fascinating and disturbing story in and of itself.

He's dead. His body has never been found.

Probably a coincidence, but one has to wonder around here.

In 2002, ALL these people knew about Sandusky, by any reasonable interpretation of what has come to light thus far.

In addition, one might imagine that Matt Millen will someday be asked by a reporter why he wasn't just a tad bit curious as to why Sandusky wasn't allowed to bring boys on the Penn State Campus.

Matt Millen was and is on the board of Directors of 2nd mile, the organization in question.

Like Golic said this morning-

60 year old man

10 year old boy

Shower

What else do you possibly need to know?

Legal restrictions as regards JoPa speaking out?

These fucks are concerned about the $$$ to the university, as in getting the living shit sued out of them by the victims families-

This thing should be turned over to the Feds, right now. This is a corrupt state, and most of the corrupt politicians are Penn State football zealots and alumni.

The dad was a buddy of Sandusky. The janitor is mentally challenged.

If I seem harsh or anything as regards my fellow posters, it is unintentional. Harrisburg is the media center for this story (Primarily Pennlive/ Patriot News) and my next door neighbor is more fucking concerned about the Nebraska game than the welfare of the kids in question, and that is not an isolated perspective here.

Color me fucking pissed off, and merely venting.

I don't know what is so fucking difficult here? Paterno knew about all this shit and helped cover it up for over a decade. In our society today that means his ass in a sling, finacially and publically.

When do we as a society start holding these asstards responsible for their wrong doings? All the money Paterno has made since the first allegations have come to light, should be stripped and given to organizations in the area that counsel abused children.

Normally I wouldn't want to kick the shit out of an old man, but Paterno deserves it, and don't even get me started on Sandusky.

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has decided to retire at the end of the season, according to a person familiar with the decision.

The person said Paterno will announce his retirement later Wednesday.

I thought he should have stepped down 10 years ago.

I guess I don't have Joe Paterno mancrush hate, but anyone who knew and did nothing, should be fired. I don't target just big shots, I target those half dozen whom were aware of the allegations and did nothing.

Just read some of the grand jury report. Sickening. After this, I stopped reading.

Warning, extremely sickening and graphic.

It was about 9:30 p.m. As the graduate assistant entered the locker room doors, he was surprised to find the lights and showers on. He then heard slapping sounds. He believed the sounds to be those of sexual activity. As the graduate assistant put the sneakers in his locker, he looked into the shower. He saw a naked boy, Victim 2, whose age he estimated to be ten years old, with his hands up against the wall, being subjected to anal intercourse by a naked Sandusky. The graduate assistant was shocked but noticed that both Victim 2 and Sandusky saw him. The graduate assistant left immediately, distraught.

Grand Jury Report wrote:

I can not understand under any circumstance how one could NOT intervene.

It's an absolutely beautiful place, btw---

Much nicer than Madison. I'm from Madison.

It borders on magnificent, really. Gorgeous college town and area.

Many of us Pennsylvanians wished it was our capital, instead of the cess-pool that is my mailing address- Harrisburg.

Paterno built that city and college. It was a bum-fuck agricultural school until he came along.

Unfortunately, all the powers-that-be fully recognize this, far more than I do. They are trying to "cling" to it.

All the while, the kids (students blindly supporting him) are trying to "cling" to the legend of Paterno and his "honor" that they were all brought up with...

It is so friggin' sad.

I'm sorry, but all the honor and beauty of Penn State means shit; when it comes at the expense of ten little boys. And yes, this is going to be Paterno's defining moment, no matter how much "good" he has done in his life.

FUCK a bunch of football. This is about HUMANITY, and I have less and less confidence in my fellow man, as time marches on-- And I didn't even start with much- absolutely cursed as a child (and then on) having taken an interest and reading the history of my fellow human beings...

Don't we all know --ultimately-- right and wrong? How could we not, in the "information" age?

Fucking shit.

Do you go to that football game Saturday and sit in those stands with the entire staff of Penn State football intact?

That is the plan, here.
