It's just the best one in the division.
McNabb doesn't SEEM like the kind of guy that needs a good line, but circumstances have shown of late that he IS. It might be the repeated stompings he took late in his tenure with Philly. The man had NO CHANCE with a shaky line that then suffered injuries.
He has absolutely proven he has the ability to play at an elite level. You can't deny that, look at his winning percentages.
He USED TO BE ABLE to play behind shit-box lines, but NO LONGER CAN.
It is the NFL equivalent of "shell-shock" or PTSD, for him, imo
That is my ultimate assessment of Donovan for 2011, so far.

He was pretty good in college. But he had as much time as Brady in the pocket. If he is getting hit before he can plant on a 3 step drop, he may be a worse option than Webb. Who is a pretty good runner.

He is a lot more accurate than McNabb though.

It is hard to tell from pre season or the time he got in against the Bears. In both cases he was playing against fairly vanilla Ds.

Preseason is when nobody wants to tip their hand. Last night, the Bears has such a lead that they were basically playing prevent. Any QB will put up yards against a prevent.

My opinion is that Ponder would be dinged up by now if he had started the season.

Vanilla defenses or not.. When his line collapsed on him in the preseason, he still found ways to avoid pressure and fire downfield.

I'm aware that you can't judge a player solely by their performances in preseason. But outside of the Bearce game, that is the only information we have on him playing against an NFL defense.

My opinion is that pretty much every QB in the league would be dinged up by now. Especially behind that OLine.
