From Mike McCarthy's press conference. Next year should be Neal's final chance to prove he can contribute.

I don't care if he can bench a Buick full size, it's time to move on. He's had injuries throughout college (I believe) and the professional level. We need to learn from our Justin Harrell and understand not every player is Mike Flanagan.

Ever noticed that injuries described by the Packers as "knee sprains" always seem to end up requiring surgery?

A significant amount of weeks does not equate IR.. at least not yet per JSonline .

Redshirted  a season following Knee surgery, in college he suffered a turf toe in 06'.. and played through a torn labrum in 07.

I don't know if that makes him injury prone.. but it is a subjective term.

Do you want to throw out the Mike Flanigans because they may be a Harrell? Which way do you want to make the mistake? Giving a guy a chance who doesn't deserve it or losing a good player?
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

What would be considered a significant amount? I'm not being snarky, I really am not sure how to evaluate that term. Top of my head, I would think more than half the season.

I don't know honestly.. every time I hear the term I honestly question the basis.

In this case.. they are not considering IR per the report.

Hmm, I'm not too sure myself on his injury history. I thought we had a thread that mentioned three years in college he missed several games or something like that.

Thinking more about it, I asked myself, if it was Aaron Rodgers, what would I consider a significant amount of time be? I'd say 4 weeks would classify as a significant amount of time. Can we do that? Can we change our interpretation of a word depending on the player?

I say Mike Neal is back for the Atlanta Falcons game. OMG, it's AT Atlanta, AGAIN!!
