Or if you're Mikel Leshoure, you'd only get suspended two games and lose two game checks for two marijuana arrests. Pretty amazing, relatively speaking, anyway.

The NFL has suspended Leshoure for the first two games of the season — and docked him two additional game checks on top of that — for his two marijuana possession arrests this offseason. Leshoure will be allowed to stay with the team through the end of the preseason, then will be barred from the team facilities through the Lions’ Week Two game against the 49ers. He can re-join the team on September 17.

If it is only for a prescribed med to treat a preexisting condition, I see no reason for the NFL to uphold his suspension. This seems ridiculous. And Leshoure only got TWO games???? WTF??? For TWO arrests this offseason. I cannot believe this. BS.

Otherwise, the suspension needs to be changed to be in accordance with the infraction: failing to report a prescription to the NFL, and consequently failing a drug test. Such an offense clearly shouldn't be a more severe punishment than drug arrests. Hopefully more light will be shined on this, eventually.

Though it’s unlikely to reduce his four-game NFL suspension, Mike Neal said earlier this week that he now has permission to take the medication responsible for him testing positive for a performance enhancing drug in March.

Oh geez. I forgot to put an "F" in front of my "BS" on that last post!

Really, this seems incredibly stupid. Now, the medication is cleared, but they will suspend the player for twice as long as some numb nut with DET who was arrested TWICE for bud this offseason... WOW!
