He has 37 career tackles? Wow, more than I thought.

How long did the packers hold onto Daryn Colledge and Jason Spitz because of their "potential"? And, unlike Harrell, they couldn't explain nonproduction by injury. (well, until recently for Spitz)

I say he should have another training camp. Or at the very least part of it.

And if he isn't, they sure as heck oughta bring another DL body to fill his camp roster spot.

And there's a word missing in your sentence before the word "a".

A little tiny preposition starting with f.

I'd hold on to him because if Mike Neal tears his ACL again our d-line will be doomed. I just don't want to put all my faith into a unproven players ACL.

Not that Harrell is reliable either, but I think he can be a decent player at one of the thinnest positions on our team. If Jenkins was still on our team, I'd kick his ass to the curb.

The fact that we are probably going to waste another year's salary on this guy is mind boggling. And whats even more head scratching, is that most Packers fans are perfectly ok with that.

Some Packers fans seem to be more nostalgic about their favorite players than desirous of winning. It's like a family reunion instead of a sports fan club. I don't get it either. It's not like these guys are playing purely for the love of the game -- even the minimum salary is more than most of us make in 10 years.

But then, there are still apologists for Tauscher and Jackson on this board, so is it really surprising?

I don't think anybody is fond of Justin Harrell either. They just hate to see a player with so much potential go down the tubes. Last year Ted Thompson, who is a pretty smart guy, thought Harrell deserved another chance, even though many fans like you didn't think so. I think this year it is time to end the Harrell experiment, but I understand the argument for giving him another chance, and I don't think it's based on nostalgia.
