Porky,

Out of curiosity, how do you come up with your projections? Or is that a secret?

You don't think opposing coaches are going to break down our film and make adjustments taking things away?

Having a weapon that can be brought inside and is capable forcing them to match up a backer or safety... but also can be split out thus pulling that backer/safety into space. Thus forcing the defense either to adjust or allow Finley to go one on one with an inferior cover guy; and that isn't considered and important advantage and wrinkle that will drive and bust a lot of coverage schemes to crap.

Sometimes I think we forget that we were a a wildcard team and hardly dominated the entire season or played consistent for that matter. Sure we overcame injuries.. but even early we were a dominate team. My point the difference between losing and winning at this level isn't that great.. you take every advantage you can get and exploit the other team.

We are Superbowl champions.. but we are hardly a dominate consistent team that doesn't have room for improvement and growth. I surely hope that we allow ourselves to be comfortable that we won it last year and we don't need to improve.. otherwise we will be on the outside looking in at the Superbowl next season.

Sorry for the rant.. but damn there are so many areas that if improved, would make us such a stronger team.. consistent team. We got hot and peaked at the right time.. this coming season I want to dominate. We have the talent and coaches to do so.. so use every resource we can and pummel the opposition.

Excluding pieces and facets of the team and game aren't going to make us more dominate.. Finley would be a big piece if used properly and healthy.

I'm coming from an entirely different viewpoint. I think Finley's a solid player, just injury prone. So, I'm not at all doubting his ABILITY. I'm doubting him staying on the field for all 19 games this upcoming season.

I do these for every team and a ton of players. I haven't got to Driver yet.

My initial projections have him under 50 receptions though and he would finish fourth on the team in just about every receiving category. Driver is among my favorite Packers, but Jordy performed about the same as Driver a year ago. Plus, Nelson has improved in every year he’s been in the league.

Through the same span, Driver has regressed.

DD was beat up last year, if he's healthy I would think he could at least repeat his stats.

Just like our offense needs to continue to evolve so that we can pull out any phase or approach to counter what the opposition is doing to defeat them.. dominate them and crush their very souls.

That said.. as long as we stay a defensive minded team.. we can play with anyone.. but I want in 2011 is to rip the oppositions virtual hearts out and grind them into submission. :)

It seems like you and I are amongst the only people here who aren't on the Finley bandwagon. I think he's a heck of a player, but has a history of being injury prone. I don't have my hopes up of him playing a full season.

I can't help but feel that the forcing it to Finley thing is being a tad overblown. The only game where that really happened was in Philadelphia and it was the 1st game of the season. I think the idea primarily stems from the play where Rodgers threw it to him in triple coverage and it got intercepted but that was just 1 play in 1 game.

Yes the offense eventually improved over what it started as but you can normally expect an offense to evolve and improve throughout the course of a season no matter who the WRs are. I think our offense would have been a lot better throughout the year with Finley than it was without him. We probably wouldn't have had as much trouble with Chicago both times at the end of the year. Having Finley is a huge part of being able to attack that cover 2 defense.

And yet again, the word "hater" is thrown around so lightly. Why is that word so popular these day?

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.

beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
Mucky Tundra (19-Jun) : One person on Twitter=cannon law
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : Well, to ONE person on Tweeter
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : According to Tweeter
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : Packers are working on extension for LT Walker they hope to have done before camp

dfosterf (18-Jun) : Or Lions
dfosterf (18-Jun) : Beats the hell out of a Vikings signing
Zero2Cool (18-Jun) : Baltimore Ravens now have signed former Packers CB Jaire Alexander.
dfosterf (14-Jun) : TWO magnificent strikes for touchdowns. Lose the pennstate semigeezer non nfl backup
dfosterf (14-Jun) : There was minicamp Thursday. My man Taylor Engersma threw
dfosterf (11-Jun) : There will be a mini camp practice Thursday.
Zero2Cool (11-Jun) : He's been sporting a ring for a while now. It's probably Madonna.
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : We only do the tea before whoopee, it relaxes me.
wpr (10-Jun) : That's awesome Martha.
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : How's the ayahuasca tea he makes, Martha?
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : Turns out he like older women
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : I wasn't supposed to say anything, but yes the word is out and we are happy 😂😂😂
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : I might be late on this but Aaron Rodgers is now married
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : Well he can always ask his brother for pointers
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : Bo Melton taking some reps at CB as well as WR
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : key transactions coming today at 3pm that will consume more cap in 2025

Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : I really thought he'd play for Packers.
buckeyepackfan (9-Jun) : Packers releasing Jaire Alexander.
