Wow.
This is something i've been saying for years. Think about it.....if a African American kid wears a shirt that says "Proud to be black" or "Black Power!" everyone pats him/her on the back and says how great that is that they are proud of their heritage.
Now, let a white kid wear a "proud to be white" or "White Power!" shirt, and what is said???
"YOU FRIGGIN' RACIST! NAZI!!!"
Racism is most often taught, but it CAN be "learned" by expieriences. Kevin's daughter......how do you think she will look at blacks os Mexicans now? They have treated her like crap, and why? Because of her skin color.
One that happened to me growing up.....had a black kid named Rodney in my school. He was one of 3 black kids in our school. He always said "Hi" to me, and i always talked to him. I NEVER treated him any different then any other kid, and he didn't treat me any different. That was junior high school. When we got into high school, where there were many blacks, i said Hi Rodney!" to him one day as i was walking down the hallway. He was with other black kids,....he looked at me, said nothing, and looked away.
That still bothers me to this day.
Now, i have had black friends since becoming an adult, but many black people treat me like a "white devil", even though i never did anything wrong to them.
Racism will NEVER die....and THAT is SAD.
