Of course, what no one ever talks about is that No. 1 ("He did what??") was a signature terrible throw by Favre that by rights should have been intercepted. Had Freeman not made that fluky catch, it would have been yet another Favre interception and Sherman would have been the goat yet again.

All that talk by the commentators about Favre and Freeman "getting off" together sounds just weird nowadays. 😍

Nr. 1 was obvious.

Nr. 2 shouldn't be there.

Nr. 3 should be nr. 2. Playing like that, as an old-man back-up who had a whopping 4 receptions the entire year, after a night of heavy drinking and partying... That's impressive.

Edit, so I clicked the link just to see what the 5 were. Brooks 99yd TD has no business being mentioned as a ridiculous catch. It was a perfectly thrown ball that hit him in stride damn near between the numbers.

You're right, it would have been an incompletion. I meant to say the pass should have been an interception. It was on the inside shoulder of the defender -- not even between him and Freeman -- and he actually had a really good shot at it. While the play was a display of amazing awareness by Freeman, it was also a wretched throw by Favre and a surprisingly inept reaction by the defender. I am not in any way trying to take anything from Freeman. It was a brilliant play on his part. I just think it is interesting that, as far as I remember, Favre escaped all criticism on that play.

I saw Robert Brooks catch a Favre rocket ball for a touchdown against the Cows in '94 or '95. What made the catch spectacular was that he caught it with his fingertips and to this day; I still find it amazing that he snagged that ball with the velocity with which it traveled.

OK did I watch a completely different video? The one I watched had the WRs ranked:
1) Don Hutson (cold hard football facts said "you can have Jerry Rice, I'll take Don Hutson")
2) Sterling Sharpe
3) James Lofton
4) Donald Driver
5) Antonio Freeman
