The Green Bay Packers pushed their way back into the NFC North Division race on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Chicago Bears 37-3 at Lambeau Field.

Both teams are 5-5, as are the Minnesota Vikings, who lost 19-13 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla. The Packers and Bears are 3-1 in NFC North games, but the Vikings are 2-2.

Green Bay's offensive line dominated the Bears, allowing Ryan Grant to run for more than 100 yards for the second time this season. He finished with 145 yards on 25 carries, and Brandon Jackson added 50 yards on 10 carries.

The line also provided plenty of protection for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw two touchdown passes. Rodgers was 23-of-30 passing for 227 yards, one interception and a 105.9 passer rating.

Defensive end Jason Hunter put it away when he picked up a Kyle Orton fumble on fourth-and-10 and returned it 54 yards for a touchdown to make it 34-3 with 7 minutes left in the game. Read More....

Sweet, sweet game. Wish I could have seen it. Ah well, Metrocast cable has all the week's games on demand.

In the poll I voted for Grant's performance, but had it been an option I'd have given the game ball to the entire o-line. Man! What a whipping!

Can't say I really saw any weaknesses today at all! Unlike last week, where we could be critical of just about everything, this week showed that the Packers can play a complete game. Fantastic win, and a joy to watch them beat the hated Bears.

Pardon The Pun.....

But......

"Speed Of The Pack Is Always Determined By The Speed Of The Leader."

I think Ted Thompson did a hell of a job this week in his meetings and conversations with Mike and the coaches. I am sure Ted had them focused, and gave them great inspiration, both one on one and as a group.

I could see the leadership of this team flowing down to the players today.

I love this..

Well done Packers.

Don't confuse this, I am pleased with the win. But I can't help be irritated by it as well. Why can't we play like this every week? The Bears aren't a push over team by any means, yet we beat them up like little kids. Why can't we do this consistently?

I agree RP. The bosses get the blame when the team doesn't play well, so they should also get the props when they do play well.

The great thing was, it was great O play and great D play. I
There were no "fluke" plays that handed us a win.
It showed just how good this team can REALLY be when hitting on all cylinders.
If they can build on this game, theres no reason we can't make the playoffs, and who knows from there???
This would be a GREAT time for everything to come together. After 10 games we are in 1st place in the division, and our destiny is truely in our own hands.

Thats the BIG question.
If we do, we can go all the way.
It's a BIG "IF", but we have now seen what can happen when they ALL do their jobs.

Eggs-actly. It's like a rollercoaster ride. We play great then bad. They are capable and have the talent but we can't seem to get over the hump for 2 games in a row. Is discipline the problem? Is it motivation? Maybe the constant changing line due to injury?

Hopefully this will be the start of something good for the rest of the season.
