I'd also like to read about the other horses I backed that were wrong. In the beginning of this, I wasn't doubting you, but now after reading this, I'm fairly confident you're full of shit. :)

What took you so long dumbass, usually it only takes 1 post to know I'm full of shit. 🙂 And he still isn't a pass rush specialist if all he can get sacks on are the Bears shitty o-line. Although the sodomizing of Rex is a picture that will live in infamy. Are we done now?

A simple search, this is a few things I said about KGB.

I've always personally like KGB, but I think its time to trade or let him go. He's not getting younger, or healthy and is not effective anymore. When teams see him on the line, they audible to a run to his side and get a first down.

I wish I had posted this earlier this morning when I read an article saying the Packers had until 3pm today, but I'm not really shocked by it. There's been some conflicting statements about KGB's health, he's getting older, can't stop the run and he's lost his speed. With Montgomery and Hunter both healthy and active, it made it logical to let KGB go.

You might be in the UK, but you can count on this website to bring you the latest news and some good highlights and maybe a view of the game as well for ya Wink

Shocked...

We release KGB and keep Harrell.

Explain....

You don't watch the games much do ya bud? :)

KGB, can't stop the run, Packers are weak against the run, KGB is only a pass rusher and since hurting his knee he has not been the same force. We have Jason Hunter back, healthy and he's consider a pass rush specialist. He's also younger too.

Harrell is a first round draft pick in whom the Packers need to see what they have in him. It's in second season and we have very little to go off of.

I think it's probably because KGB is one of our highest paid players. If he didn't make so much money, he probably wouldn't have been a casualty.

"Sat Nov 01, 2008 12:03 PM " wrote:

Are you serious? You think this is solely about money?

KGB is a veteran, meaning the Packers have to pay him his remaining salary for the year, even if they cut him. This move saves the Packers no money, and the fact that we are loads under the salary cap means we didn't need to save the money anyways, seeing as cap surplus doesn't carry from year to year.

This move is simply to sure up our biggest weakness: Run D. KGB is a one trick pony, and lately he had been doing his one trick pretty poorly. Given that KGB doesn't play ST either, this move was the only move that would least impact the overall dynamics of the team. Pettaway and Hunter will now be relied on to fill KGB's role on 3rd Downs.

The interesting thing in all of this is that I thought KGB was coming off his best game of the season against the Colts. That's not really saying a whole lot considering how ineffective KGB has been this year, but I thought the improvement would've bought him some time to see if he could continue his upward play. I guess that wasn't going to be the case.

KGB had 15 games of 2 or more sacks.

Here's a shocker, he didn't have more sacks against the Bears during his career, it was actually the Vikings.

MIN 11.5
CHI 10
DET 7
TB 7
CAR 4
WAS 4

Top three teams he sacked were within the division, played twice a year.

This was a good little time killer while waiting for dinner.

And if memory serves correctly, our whole division licked ass in KGB's glory days, correct? But at least he was better than Jamal Reynolds. For as much sunshine as was shot up Wolf's ass for getting us Favre, he sure screwed the pooch on a lot of picks. I guess when you've had a 25 year drought, anything looks like a savior.

I hope your dinner was good Zero, I spent part of my evening looking for earrings for my daughters and helping Mrs. Dakota pick out underwear at Victoria Secret. Actually, I set off the creepy old man sensor and they kicked me out of VS.

Javon will never make the Packers Hall of Fame, he had one good year as a Packer. He had one more good year, then had one of his best friends murdered in his lap, suppose you think that doesn't change a man huh? KGB, I could see him getting in because I believe he leads all Packers in sacks.

You are Zero for 2, accept it and throw down some more names that I've backed that were 'wrong'.
