Appropos of nothing in particular, save a desire to go off topic ( :magnifyglass: ), this is also the way to get better at thinking about economic matters.
And its why so many of my students frustrate the heck out of me. They're real diligent about reading the book and coming to class (because they're "good students" and that's what they've been taught good students do), but they spend very little time practicing and applying and practicing and applying. They memorize the theory, but they never come close to where they can do that deep forgetting that doddpower talks about.
