It wouldn't be hard to foil. Limit the number of tickets an individual account can purchase. That would prevent dealers from buying up vast swathes of tickets..

I guess no business would ever try and circumvent it. They would only buy the allowed 4 or 10 tickets and be happy with the ones they got.
No one would use multiple computers at multiple locations with various addresses.

Require, like the airlines do, that the name on the order match the picture ID of the person picking them up. Only allow them to be picked up on-site on gameday.

Not practical. I am not driving 4 hours one way without my tickets in hand.
Having to have the Packers hand out the tickets by hand would require extra staff. Create bottlenecks and ultimately drive up the cost.

I don't disagree with you that is would be nice to be able to buy a reasonably priced single game ticket. For the more successful franchises in the NFL it just won't happen.

There is even talk that GB will expand the bowl to around 100,000 seats. Maybe if they do that they can make the change but with so many people in line waiting I doubt it. As of now. I send them my check. They cash it and mail me my tickets. It is a lot simpler for them than to have to have 20 or 30 people stand in a ticket booth on Sunday mornings for a couple of hours. Now that I think about it, they don't even have a "Will call booth." Least not that I have seen. They would have to build a whole section just for this.

There are ticket booths at Lambeau and that should be your 1st stop if you don't have tickets in hand. I have been able to score tickets there for face value.
Many times over the years I have gone to Green Bay with no tickets and never failed to get in and I have never had to pay over face value.
Many times I ended up with free tickets.
A few years ago my wife and I along with 2 other couples went down empty handed and ended up buying 6 tickets in a box with TVs food and drinks for $100.00 each for a Lions game.
Granted it's alot easier fo me being only 3 hours from Green Bay to drive down and back in a day for any Packers event but believe me, tickets are always tickets available for face value or less.

Contrary to NSD's statement, there are no "lousy" seats in Lambeau Field.
It mainly depends on how much work you want to put in to get tickets.

One thing I didn't see brought up, but do they still have that $1500 per ticket charge for just having the rights to the tickets and then you have to actually pay for the tickets after that?

I remember they had that back when they wanted to add on to lambeau to help pay for it, but do they still have it and if you add that figure in how do we stand compared to other places?

1500 x 70,000 =105,000,000 or something like that and thats just bonus money
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

They still have the personal seating license. I do not remember how much it was per ticket. They charge more for the Green Package than the Gold Package since they get more games.
We don't get the money back unless they resell our tickets to someone else. if GB charges more for the seats to the new ticketholders they get to keep the extra money we do not.

The tickets themselves are in addition tot he PSL.

The "bonus" money did help pay to refurbish the stadium.

I'm pretty sure that is a one time deal (the PSL). After you have paid that you only pay for your tickets each year after that as long as you keep them.

yep. If I was not clear I am sorry. The fee is not annual.
I did a quick google check and the PSL was $200 per game (Incl preseason) per seat. 10 home games means $2000 per seat times 73,128 seats $146,256,000.

I don't think there's much to complain about. I don't know about all the other teams but looking at Colts or Patriot tickets the last 2 years they are way higher priced. As for NSD thinking that the only way to go is paying way above face value, maybe I've been lucky but I've never paid much more then face value and have gone to 5 games. That's what I love about WI people is how kind they've been. The first guy who got me tickets was so happy to see me that interested in going to a game he mailed me tickets for 3 years at cost. With each game I went to I just kept meeting more people who said if I ever needed tickets give them a call.

Again, as I have already said at least twice in this thread, my main gripe isn't the price. The increased price is just a side effect of not being able to obtain the tickets on the primary market. Sure, there's always a chance you won't have to pay the increased price, particularly if you know people, but I don't want to have to rely on the aftermarket. I'd prefer to buy my own tickets for myself.

Obviously, I'm not advocating that the Packers make all or even most tickets available this way. I think a good number would be around 5,000 or 10,000. I believe it's 8,000 tickets that are reserved for Brown County residents, though I could be wrong. The general-admission tickets could be priced a little higher than Brown County reserve tickets, so the taxpayers don't get their feathers ruffled.
