Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whose team won the Super Bowl on Sunday night, spent much of the day at Disney World before flying to New York for a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman.

Hmmm. The Super Bowl was on FOX. Disney owns ABC. Letterman is on CBS.

Maybe we can get him on NBCs PFT Live.

Letterman asked Rodgers about his predecessor, who once famously sat in Lettermans guest chair and dropped a strong hint that the First Annual Retirment may not take. Said a smiling Rodgers as to whether Brett Favres what should I do? routine became a distraction, I was the guy who took all the reps during the offseason, and Brett was the guy who took all the reps during the season.

Rodgers also explained that, after high school, he considered focusing on baseball and possibly joining the military before landing a Butte Community College. Then, while Cal coach Jeff Tedford was scouting one of Rodgers teammates, Tedford discovered Rodgers and offered him a scholarship on the drive home.

The extended segment ended with Rodgers throwing a pass to Letterman, who unlike a few of Rodgers teammates didnt drop the ball.

He was cool and friendly, and he had that little grin. He looked like the cat that swallowed the canary. And as usual, he steered clear of controversy:

Letterman: Are you expecting a call from Brett Favre?

Rodgers: No.

(Thank you Dave for then moving on to the next question. Some context: Rodgers had just mentioned that Bart Starr has become a friend and he was expecting to hear from him.)

On NBC, he can always do Saturday Night Live or Jay Leno.
I am a woman and I love football.

Were there any parts of the interview with Aaron that were not included in the video above? I fell asleep before he came on.

I was glad ARod got the exposure but wasn't impressed with the interview. Maybe Letterman came off as being a bit of a jerk to me. I know he was trying to be clever and witty. I think he missed.
