What a great win last night. It did gloss over a glaring problem - our O-line was horrendous. Starks did well to to pick his way through what little holes he had.. he ended up in the backfield way too many times. How many free rushers did Houdini have flying at him?? He was wrapped up at least 3 times before he somehow got away. I know it's a little late in the season to make corrections but they can't play like this against Chicago. Go hawks!

GO PACK GO.

Agreed. They seem to be doing better protecting Rodgers (or maybe AR is getting better at escaping and getting rid of the ball.) but on run plays they can't seem to open up a hole or keep the D out of the backfield. This has been a problem for years now. Hopefully we will address that in the draft again. I have faith in TT.

The Falcons are pretty good there. We kept them honest and opened up the passing game. Mission accomplished.

Let me put it this way: With the way the line has been protecting ARod, do you want to change our line to say, a big, power line just so we can run the ball? This team is about passing, passing, passing. If they're protecting ARod, it's unfortunate but not vital if they can't run block.

So we have to choose between run or pass? We can't have both?

I do want to change the line. Not this season. It's a little late to make changes now. I would love to have a line that is capable of doing both.
Other teams can do it. We can too.

I didn't think they were protecting A-Rod last night. Clifton was absolutely abused.

If you think they were protecting Rodgers, you failed to see the number of times he had to wriggle out of the grasp of blitzers. He could have easily been sacked several more times last night -- I was amazed at his elusiveness and ability to break tackles.

My point is that what we have right now is enough to make it into the postseason and win two games. In other words, the type of line we have is good enough to win games and possibly win it all.

Do I wish we could do both? Of course. Can we do both? Of course. Do we eventually need to replace our aging linemen? Of course. But I'd caution against any radical changes, I'd rather keep what we have and surrender the run than go back to last year's quality of pass protection.

Yeah, no doubt. They are not protecting Rodgers, rather, Rodgers is making them look good while evading their efforts with his Destroyers.

These other teams aren't as good as Atlanta on the dline. They're pretty good there, but also a little weak in the secondary. We'll be fine.
