I think he could be gameday backup center. McDonald has a little more size than Wells or Dietrich-Smith. So don't know how good of a center he would be as a starter.

IMO

We'd have a better line. McDonald is worth watching closely.

He's been . . . playing as the #2 Center in the first camp day this year so I assume so...

But anyways according to some of the Packers beat writers (via tweeter) wrote the current lineup (which isn't a depth chart, but just how they're practicing) is

1s: LT:Clifton, LG:Sherrod, C:Wells, RG:Sitton, RT:Bulaga
2s: LT:Newhouse, LG:Lang, C:McDonald, RG:Schlauderaff, RT: ?

Also some one up in the Green Bay area on another site said the local news gave this same order for the 1st and 2nd groups and named Campbell as the RT on the 2nds.

And according to the beat writers they're expecting Sherrod, Lang and McDonald to compete for the LG starting spot when pads go on. I've been waiting for some kind of quote of that from Mike McCarthy but they haven't given one (yet) so what they expect is probably just a guess.

I forget if it was the OC (Offensive Coordinator) or OL coach (I get them mixed up at times) but I think it was the OC was quoted as saying he'd prefer it two have just two guys go full at it instead of three for the LG spot.

It's basically like having someone at practice texting you what they are seeing, except everyone who follows them plus some can read it.

I don't mind it myself.
