Yeah, the Mongolian barbecues I've been to always come with a crappy reheated canned soup that I never eat, so I just go for the real food. Had a friend who worked at the place and he said it's a great way to lose weight. You're sweating constantly as you're over one of those burners for the entire shift.
I usually do 3 bowls - the first one beef & lamb; the second chicken; the 3rd beef & lamb again. All with noodles, greens, and lots of mushrooms. I love mushrooms. Of course some onions as I personally cook with onions almost every night.
As for flavorings, tons of garlic, ginger, and the hot stuff. I usually do 7 total per bowl. I like digging deep into the garlic bowl and getting a big wad of garlic. You can never have too much garlic.
