I had a blast watching Brett play, and I am still am a fan of his. I wish he just retired a Packer. He'd have three less injuries, none of this crap in NY would have happened.

The Packers offered him a boat load of money, and I'm sure he could have gotten some type of job in the Media.

He felt he could play and win a Championship, good for him.

I have not loss any respect for him, and I would always welcome him back to WI.

Guys get horny, ask JFK, and Bill Clinton....and he is not a Packer anymore.
We didn't want him, we booed him, we moved on, maybe Brett did not.

Someday, I hope Packer fans do want him back in GB!

The old "He's a man, he gets horny" excuse. I've seen WAY too many people use that excuse. You are STILL responsible for your actions. And "his holiness, Brett Favre" gets away with stuff other people would not get away with. Why? Because he can throw a football.

And the fact that many people would show up to "bow down" to him if he shows up here........people also paid big bucks for OJ Simpson stuff when his trial was going on.
People pay big money for serial killer memorabilia too.
Yes, some will ignore the kind of man Favre is, and still treat him like a god.

Does that make it right?

who are you to judge a man who is dealing with cancer?
did it ever occur to you that this (cancer) played a role in what happened?

you fall in love in high school. marry the girl, have kids, are together for 20 years, then your wife gets breast cancer.

How does this affect your relationship. suddenly, you can no longer be intimate with the person you were with for 20 years, it all stops.

sending a freaking text, to a female, is not the end of the world to me. To me, it shows he is a human being same as anybody else.

we were 1 play from the super bowl. instead of bringing in some offensive fire power, a player to put you over the top, we draft for youth.

put 15 years into something, then when you are about to reach the top of your profession, be forced from your job, and deal with your wife having cancer inside her body.

I'm not going to judge anybody under those circumstances!

Brett Favre gets all my respect.

He needed to send pictures of his dong to a woman not his wife for you to realize he's human? Who has the problem now?

You do know that that offense that you claim needed additional firepower scored more points than any other Packers team, right?

You can still be intimate with your wife.

You make a lot of excuses for Brett. Ever wonder what would have happened if he had done what his coached asked and NOT changed the play? Of course not, you just blame Ted for not getting MORE offensive firepower even though the defense needed more help.

Brett doesn't trust others, that's a his issue he needs to deal with it. It shows in now he plays and with what he does off the field.

i think a woman dealing with cancer does not want nude pictures mailed to her nor does she want sex.

i think if Ted Thompson would have gotten guys like micheal turner, moss, gonzales he had a shot at a championship, years ago .

the team is better off, cool. they better win out and progress in the playoffs, or i'm gonna blaze on why the do not make it, and how they are no better off!!!

Guess I have a different opinion of marriage. If my wife was going through cancer, I'd do as much as I could to make her not feel alone. Meaning, I wouldn't go around sexting other girls. I'd be at her side because I'm one of those jerks that thinks you should stand by your significant other through the good times equally as through the bad.

Apparently if you don't do that, it means your human.

If my wife can't have sex, neither will I. I would hope she would follow suit.

really, so your prepared right now to be celibate for the rest of your life???

if your wife was diagnosed with cancer, you are ready to say i'll never have sex again. I think you're talking before your thinking.

and do not for get, all he did was send a text!

its one thing to say it, another to actually live it!

dhpackr, I'm interested as to why you think having cancer makes sex impossible? If I had a non-lethal tumor, I wouldn't stop having sex. I mean, what reason is there to stop doing it?

If it were a cancer that's somewhere in the vaginal region, then it would be a different issue.

Cancer doesn't necessarily kill the libido, though the exhaustion and illness associated with radiation and chemotherapy certainly might (temporarily) put a damper on things. They've done studies in which female rats could successfully bear offspring even with malignant tumors roughly the size of the rest of their bodies. There's no reason to assume a breast tumor is going to end a couple's sex life.

i think the stress in dealing with the disease kills the urge.

but really...the point i'm trying to make is this.....

there was no sex between Favre and this woman, but brett is being persecuted as if there were.

as a married guy, if your woman was ill, and there was no intimacy, for 6 months, a year, eighteen months, you are telling me you would not have the urge to chat with or look at images of another woman over the internet?
