From the perspective of the NFL, they are not the US courts. It is not their job to punish people for breaking the law. Their job is to protect the reputation and image of the NFL.
What Rapesandbuggers did was on his own time and not at an NFL function. What Favre did was with a co-worker. Exposing the team and the league to a multi million dollar scandalous lawsuit that could have repercussions up and down the line.
Since it isn't about which crime is worse, it is about what was more harm to the NFL. They are going to take what Favre did more seriously than Rapesandbuggers.
The NFL isn't supposed to get justice for the victims. That is the courts job. The NFL is going to use it's tools (fines and suspensions) to protect itself.
So to the victims, the Rape is worse than the Croc shots, but then NFL is going to take the Croc shots more seriously.
All Favre had to do to prove he didn't harass her was turn over his phone records. If they exonerated him, this would have been over in pre season. Since it isn't over...
She also may be more upset at being made out to be a gold digging tart that set up Favre with enticing him into doing this. She may want to clear her name. So the Favre fans calling her a skank, a bimbo or a strumpet may be keeping it going.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
