But you never know what Farve will do. He has a little extra motivation. And our last game against them was pretty close. I don't think that this'll be an easy W.

Agreed. At Lambeau, they were one classic "Randy being Randy" moment from being tied at the end of the game. In the Dome, this is going to be a tough, tough win. The Packers are more than capable of it, but anyone predicting a laugher is just bound to be here on Monday moaning about how much the Packers suck if the Vikes manage to step up and win one at home.

I know this much, Matthews will manhandle Loadholt. That O-line isn't build to face pressure from the LDE and/or LOLB position. That O-line really isn't build to well in pass protection, overal.

Matthews was supposed to "manhandle" Loadholt in the first game too. And our pass rush was also supposed to dominate their OL.

And we got, what, 1 sack? On the last play, I think?

1 sack, yes.

But those interceptions where a direct result of getting pressure.

Brad Jones hanging around Favre's ankle caused that first pick.

Jarius Wynn killing Favre caused that second one.

On the last pick, Charles Woodson was half a second away from causing a fumble.

Favre gets it off fast. He doesn't like to take sacks, he wants to make something happen. That results in some miracle plays, but more often than not, in interceptions.

The stat sheet doesn't show it, but we were getting some pressure.

Next to that, Matthews was manhandling Loadholt, but Phil got away with some blatant holds. He had to snap Matthews neck before finally getting a call against him.

Rock.. you forgot multiple face mask calls.. one called on LoadHolt verse Clay.

Now.. put Clay on turf and his speed is only going to cause Loadholt more issues.

Loadholt was mugging him the whole damn game - and that's precisely what I mentioned to a Vikes fan friend when he started bitching about the refs in that game. He tried to deny it, so I offered to have him come over and watch the game on DVR with me so he could see it - oddly enough, he declined.

Without Phil grabbing his head every other play, Matthews would have had more than the one sack, easily.

Wasn't the vikings game clay's first game back after getting injured? I am sure he was still banged up from that injury.

Plus the fact that our team seems to be jelling right now, while the Vikings have been on the decline.
I'm not taking them lightly, but it seems pretty obvious they are NOT in the same mind set as they were last time we played them.
Favre has been knocked around like a rag doll, their WR's are hurting, and our O is finally clicking, and our D has been playing lights out.
I really feel that if we get on them early, it will demoralize them.
If we let them get any momentum going, thats what would worry me.
Get a TD on our first possesion, batter Favre, and keep the pedal to the metal all game.

the first play will speak volumes,if we come out and play like we never had a bye week ,witch i think they will do d-line is going to give vikes o-line big time headache, rice if even if he plays will not take big hits,as his contrack is up so he wants to stay healthy,he could have played last week and didn't,a-rod and company will have a better game.special teams stop havner we will win.

Zero2Cool (16h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
