Nice write up on Peprah's season so far.

I must admit I'm feeling pretty good about this group.

Collins is pro bowl.
Burnett is ascending and should be better in 2011.
Peprah has shown his worth filling in as a starting job this year.
Bigby has starting experience. Ted Thompson traded a precious pick for Anthony Smith who started for the Jags this year.

And all these guys can and do play on special teams.

If we keep them all I don't see it being a need area come next year and the draft.

Safeties are solid, and if Tramon and Woodson can stay healthy next year, and Bush continues to grow into the player we want him to be, we're sitting good.

I wonder if Woodson will move to safety at some point in the future. He seems to be doing just fine at the moment in his current role. He's part corner, part linebacker. He can cover the sideline, track tight ends over the middle, blitz and is probably our best tackler.

It must be great for Dom to have a guy like him.

Overall I like the group too. I think they are young and improving except for maybe Collins and Woodson who are experienced and have already arrived.

The only one I really don't expect anything out of is Bigby. I think he was impressive for a run of late season and playoff games in 2007 but has shown nothing since. What have you done for me lately I guess.

I'm guessing no... the Packers already have two FS in Collins and Burnett.

And honestly I think the defense has gotten better since Barnett and Burnett went down... as their replacements Bishop and Peprah added more physical play which this defensive needed.

Don't get me wrong I want the healthy players back and healthy but this team needs to be more physical than it was.

Honestly is Barnett physical enough for the 3-4 defense? I'm not sure...

And Burnett looked more like a FS than a SS.

Good points, beast. Bishop and Peprah have both been upgrades. Tramon Williams has also been an upgrade over Al Harris. The Packers' secondary is one of the best in the league, and I never thought I would say that because I'm a big Al Harris fan. Sam Shields has been big-time as well.

The depth of the secondary has been unexpected after what happened at the end of last year. It would be a real plus for either Lee or Underwood to step up now, so we will truly have solid depth at CB.
