I was so confused at first I had to give my comment a second look. :)

You have a point. The deflected interception to Matthews was absolutely ridiculous. (just to name one play off the top)

The "non-fumble" that Collins ran in for a TD.......WOW!
And i have to give props to Brandon Jackson. He is NOT going down easily. Imagine how good he could be if our run blocking was better?

But our punt returner......(is it Williams?) That guy needs to learn how to go north and south. He catches the punt, goes side to side a few times, and is tackled. Catch the ball and RUN FORWARD. Even a couple yards is better then NO yards.
And the plays were mostly the same ones we have been calling, but like was said, the execution was MUCH better. Not as many drops, and some brilliant catches. Thats how our O SHOULD roll every week.
A GREAT win to take into the off week!

They actually connected on some back shoulder throws, if that's what you mean. I thought they played within themselves much more, did alot more high percentage plays. Certainly more running. They did go downfield quite a bit though.

BTW, Chris Collinsworth needs to STFU!

Capers would be a terrible HC; I'm pretty sure his strategy for making his defense look good is slipping some sleeping medication in the opposing team's Gatorade cooler.

His players are excelling in spite of him, not because. Don't hire away Capers! :x

So let me get this straight: If we lose, the playcalling sucks, but if we win, the playcalling is genius? Other than those peculiar three-back sets and a few more called runs, there was no significant difference in the playcalling between this week and any other week. What did change was execution. Our receivers looked like they wanted to be on the field this week; they actually tried. They held onto the ball (with the exception of the Jones touchdown drop), they laid out for the more difficult catches, they completed plays. They showed some passion. Maybe getting Driver off the field was the best thing that could have happened to this team.

Someone said that Rodgers was setting his feet today. Totally false, and you completely missed the point of what the commentators were saying. Rodgers is still NOT setting his feet, yet he's gotten his accuracy back. That's what is so remarkable about his accomplishments last night. He almost never plants his feet before he throws; he sort of hops on his toes.

It was nice to see that Rodgers wasn't hobbling this week. I only noticed his limp on a couple of plays, mainly after the long runs. It seems like a lot of our players are getting healthier. The bye week is coming at a perfect time.

Never seen that many 5 yard stick routes, shallow ins, drags and comeback routes in the first few minutes of the game. We played a high efficiency offense more than the last couple of weeks.

Can't say if Rodgers just settled for the short throws or that Mike McCarthy actually called it differently, but our offense looked a tad bit different at the start of the game.

And the 3 FB set was pretty nifty. I'm not a big fan of having two blockers on the outside of your main carrier in today's NFL, but hey, who am I to judge.

At least Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy can now act like this was their masterplan all along when fielding questions about 3 FBs on the roster.

I think the main difference was not Aaron Rodgers. It was the receivers. Aaron Rodgers has been on target more often than not over the past few weeks, just as he was today, but our receivers were dropping the ball. I only saw one glaring drop last night, which was the Jones end zone drop. Our wide receivers actually seemed to care this week.

what nonstop said, +1. Execution by players, or lack there of makes coaching salaries.

I also thought it was cute and I suppose an A for effort on the 3 FB sets, but what's that supposed to accomplish? You run up the gut, which makes your 2 lead blockers obsolete! Maybe it's effective as a decoy for a LB or something, but once you know what the team is doing, functionally it seems flawed.
