Brees and Favre had very fast releases. Brady and Manning had OLs. Rodgers has neither.

For this year, run more to take the heat off of Rodgers. Then in the offseason, fire Campen, get OL by any means necessary and give Aaron an OL.

Then we revisit this next year as the Packers can finally be a successful pass first team.

We have a 3-3 record instead of 5-1 or even 6-0 (as we should be) because our OL sucks. I'd be running for my life too if I were Aaron. Getting a concussion sucks.

The placekicker has to factor into Rodgers failures in close games as well.

I am just stumped on whats going on with Rodgers, The O-line was worse last year at this time and he was playing fine and this year he seems to be missing guys, throwing bad passes and he does also have guys dropping passes. I remember people talking about how accurate he is on the deep balls, but when its crunch time he seems to miss open guys deep.

Im still on the back of Rodgers he will turn this shit around.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I don't think the line is significantly better than it was last year. I think Rodgers has just become more adept at taking action that seems to shift the blame from the line to himself: rolling out, releasing the ball quicker, etc. As a result, the sack totals have gone down, but so have his stats.

I actually think that Rodgers is too hard on himself. Maybe he needs to lighten up some.

He is holding the ball too long. There are times you need to deliver the ball out. Sometimes he's getting sacked as a result of running where the pass rush is at. Meaning there is a spot for him to step up but he doesn't step up he drops to the side and doesn't continue looking down field and it's costing him.

Last year he made the adjustment not till after we were 4-4. He needs to make it now cause last year our O Line struggled early but really played well after he took the pressure off them. Come plate season he had lots of time to throw unless a blitz came or the odd blown play.

I can't think of many instances where he's holding the ball too long, or at least they are VASTLY outnumbered by the times when the pocket breaks down or the tackles are getting toasted.

Even in instances when he does hang onto the ball, he often shifts out of the pocket and has proven to be very effective on the run, or throwing while rolling out, so I think encouraging a quicker throw may be the least of the concerns.

He bails on the offensive line too fast. I would say that is a problem before holding the ball too long.

He needs to win close games. Until he starts to play clutch, he'll have to settle for being good instead of great IMO.

wpr (18h) : Tomorrow is almost here.
packerfanoutwest (18h) : would you want him if Pack needed a back up qb?
packerfanoutwest (18h) : JW is done......stick a fork in him
Zero2Cool (20h) : You should. He goes to AFC that helps Packers.
packerfanoutwest (23-Apr) : don't care
Zero2Cool (22-Apr) : Lions shopping Jameson Williams?
packerfanoutwest (22-Apr) : Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst says Green Bay’s roster can win, even without adding anyone in the draft.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
