I still think its fixable as he's young, even though he's been in the league for the 6th year, its only his 3rd as a starter.
I think some people's expectations of him were and are too big, maybe it has to do with wanting to stick to Favre quickly as possible or whatever but he's not Manning, he's not Brady, he's not Brees. He just plain hasn't done anything to be there. Its like Rivers too, great statistical QB but he never gets mentioned in with those guys either.
But Rodgers has time on his side and a bunch of close losses have to do with experience and in time, I assume anyway, he will win those close games and start to rise to that "level" soon but at this point, he just hasn't had success (whether thats his fault or others).
Football fans are funny, a lot of us, put too much emphasis on wins on the QB but its life. What can you do. Marino, great talent, but due to no Super Bowl, he's not rated as high. Aikman gets all this credit but a lot of that was the OL and that those teams. It doesn't really make any sense but Rodgers has to win close games and win playoff games to be in that class of Manning, Brady and Brees - which he hasn't.
As usual, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, a bunch of those close loses wern't attributable to Rodgers and the Packers screwed him and bunch of those loses, he was ONE of the reasons for the f up.
