The fourth down play to tie the game, that's a play that works in Madden, lol. Spread offense, no one in the backfield and QB sneak. Even works on 4th down.

If this offense continuws to perform at this level, Mike McCarthy deserves the hot seat. For now, double-secret probation.

He is getting Rodgers killed with no support for suspect OL, and this offense, when you take off the green and gold goggles, is in complete disarray. I make excuses for injury on the defense, but Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson, some young and talented TEs, and BJ running strong are all healthy, as is Rodgers. This team is playing scared on offense, instead of attacking....simple as that.

If Favre pulls his pants down next week...

Oh, you mean if Favre pulls McCARTHY'S pants down. I thought you meant his own pants. Now THAT would be interesting....

Anyway, McCarthy is not on the hot seat. His team was outmanned. Plus, the fourth-and-goal play at the end of regulation was brilliant. I've never seen that one before. Too bad it was wasted in a losing cause.

The bottom line: No pass rush=lose. No pass protection=double lose. The Packers just didn't have the horses today. And if they don't get some players back from injury soon, their season will go down the toilet, regardless of what McCarthy does.

Favre already pulled his own pants down. Figuratively and literally.

This loss is not on coaching. I'm getting sick and fucking tired of hearing the same damn thing from fans here complaining about McCarthy.

Are you aware that this criticism is the exact opposite of most other criticisms of the offense this year? Most critics have claimed that they are attacking downfield too much.

I have a more pedestrian explanation for the offense's struggles: the pass blocking sucks, especially from the tackles. On top of that, our skill players, for whatever reason, have not been able to overcome this problem, as they have at times in the past.

Ok then, double secret probation. But someone needs to tell him, fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.

I do agree with that. The QB sneak was brilliant, and I'll give credit, but to who? Who called that play?

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
